  1. My boxed copy is within arms reach. I guess it's time to find out if Tron 2.0 runs on Windows 10. Widescreen support! Nice! Besides the Atari Remakes and hopefully Colecovision Remakes..... Tron has to be what I'm most excited to play on Amico. The Tron game on the GBA back in the day was great also. Gezzzz I'm on Tron overload tonight! LOL
  2. Controls worked OK on stock Colecovision controllers back in the day. Hold it spun 45° to the right and your golden! The extremely short joystick kinda sucked. But we made the best of it. I'll tell ya what, that game is sometimes more fun to watch then play! LOL
  3. Ahh Tron:Legacy.. The only movie I've only seen twice in the same day in a theater. The midnight showing with my sister, then getting up for work at 6am. And then the 7pm showing with my son. Even better the second time! Yes! so many emotions for me with Legacy. I watch it multiple times every year and the bridge scene gets me every time.
  4. This is weird , I'm quoting myself. But I had to. Things changed BIG time over this past week. They both understand and get what your trying to do Tommy! They watched the venturebeat interview with you. Check out this small portion of the text thread. Sorry about the swear words. I thought he was messing with me! LOL Oh and here's the Xbox game he's talking about: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/race-the-sun/bs32dzlxbq02?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
  5. Ahh the Microvision, part of the great early handhelds! I got mine from a trade with my neighbor. I traded my Talking Electronic Battleship for his Microvision. To this day I still feel like I made out the best. I loved Pinball on it.
  6. Back to the Amico! Tommy have you been in touch with Retro Gamer Magazine? Would make an excellent cover story! https://www.retrogamer.net/ Would be great to walk into (love to do this, damn pandemic) Barns&Noble and see the Amico on the cover! Rick
  7. Both Xbox guys, just like me. Both play mostly single player games. I don't know if you'd call them hardcore. Hardcore is so difficult to define nowadays. 😕
  8. Smart man! I love my ST, but I wish I did the same. I would have saved tons of $$....I spent so much on my ST in 1986 just to realize I needed the tools (programs) the Amiga had. Switched to Amiga in 1991.
  9. I think their just skeptical of anyone releasing something new in the same market as Nintendo,Sony and Microsoft. They grew up on Nintendo, hate Sony and own Xbox now. Don't worry, I've invited them over to play once I get an Amico. Rick
  10. Nope. But I did for my 520ST in 1987. It was a Hayes 1200 baud modem I bought at The Computer Bug up in Hadley,Ma. I think it was like $150! Good times on the Pocket Protector BBS.
  11. Amico Asteroids getting the shield from Deluxe? I added it anyhow. 😁
  12. If you play something like Red Dead and then try Red Dead 2 you can see major improvements in lighting and animation. Both are excellent games, I'm a sucker for westerns. I loved this era. I owned both for a bit. But I'll always be a Genesis guy. The extra speed of the Genny made it perfect for this arcade loving guy! Road Rash and Sonic!! Wish I still had Global Gladiators, I still have boxed copies of Cool Spot and Aladdin! 😁 PS1 for the win! 3D graphics with amazing music! Wipeout and Destruction Derby all day! And one of the best versions of Road Rash.. So glad they converted it from the 3DO. Here's where I lost interest for a few years. I bought a PS2 but it was just prettier versions of the same PS1 games. I remember having dual analog sticks on PS1 playing Gran Turismo. Wait... That's right GTA3 launched on the PS2.. ok that's the one game i played for 6 months straight. Then I got burned out on Playstation. LOL Totallly agree with this one! I had the hardest damn time picking a side! Xbox or play it safe with another Playstaion... Well my oldest son showed me Halo. That's the end, but really the beginning of a long story. LOL My current system is XB1. This is where I hang out.I don't watch much TV, I mostly play.. I'm old-school AND hardcore I guess.. Some night's I'll play a game on my cell phone or 3DS, some nights competitive Halo. The next night it might be a 2600 game. I love them all! So this Holiday I think I'll skip the Xbox Series X hype. But faster load times and Ray tracing sound crazy cool. Maybe I just need something different! 😲
  13. I have friends of all ages. I just got off the phone with two of my friends, it was a three way call. Both in their mid 30's. I was telling them I was considering the Amico as my next console purchase. Wow! That was a mistake! They said: It's just old Atari games...what! it's $250!!...for re-rendered Bezerk! just buy a Switch... or a Wii! Then they asked about who the developers are for it... they we're underwhelmed when I showed them. Then they asked if Waterworld was coming out for it jokingly? Said they'd wait for the Virtual Boy to make a comeback first! It was brutal I tell ya. I told them to have open minds. And hold off on judgement till they play one. They are both parents so I was hoping I'd win them over easily, that didn't happen.. I will report back when they finally play one... Rick
  14. That was great! It covered a lot in such a short segment. Arcades,Home Video games and computers. I'd love to have a coin-op in my house! I'd have Asteroids or Star Wars:TAG I put my initials RRL or ZEP in back in the day. Notice that STYX t-shirt at 2:25?
  15. The right one wouldn't hurt, i guess. But who? Ohhh wait.. how about Tommy or his cousin? I really think the system sells itself, even more so when it's in peoples hands.
  16. Good thing he got the programmer and NOT the artist! 🤣 All kidding aside, I loved Rings of Power! I had no idea it was their first console game! And yes I did try the code in the late 90s. And Crash was a system seller on the PS1 ! You needed Mario jumping skills on some of those levels I tell ya!
  17. True. I remember moving on to computers about 82/83, an Atari 800XL. Didn't purchase another console cartridge after that until Genesis days. I did buy a few 8bit Atari computer carts, but nothing for my 2600 or Colecovision. I think a lot of America's youth moved onto PC's by the mid 80's. I feel like I didn't get a real non gaming computer till the 16bit pc's (Atari ST/Amiga) came out. That's when my creative freedom blossomed. Great times Looking forward to that old school console charm and co-op fun again with Amico!
  18. I'm not a facebook guy. I'll PM the pictures to you this week, and please post them. It's great stuff I tell ya.
  19. I was messing around and came up with this setup: Where (rotate ship) actually points the ships "nose" to whatever direction you press on the disc. I'm excited to see what Tommy and friends come up with! BTW Tommy we better see you name on the High score lists!!!
  20. I'm very late to the party. I still don't see a color combo I really like. That woodgrain vip one was super sweet, too bad I missed out on it. But those are long gone I'm sure. I'd love to see one themed after some of the old Atari,Imagic,Intellivision,Activision games. I'm totally sold on the Amico, I'm just waiting for that special one for me.😉
  21. Asteroids was my game back in the arcade. Spent all the money I earned from my paper route on it. Trying to get the high score. Looking forward to this one Pete!
  22. Yes! The sequel no one asked for! Make it happen Tommy! 😲
  23. Please Stop! LOL!!!! I'd Love that! Here's my mock up. It would look great next to my boxed Halo 2600 game!
