Just a quick post here. I was an Atari\Colecovision kid back in the day.Tommy and I are about the same age, like a lot of us here. I hated the Intellivision back then, I just didn't like that disc based controller. It only tried it one night at one of my fathers friends house. Maybe if I spent more time with it.... or I got an invite to hang out with @Tommy Tallarico and family back in the day I would have seen the light. But the one thing I will say now, the new Amico console looks and sounds awesome. I just gotta see if I have room for it in my game room.

It made it over the 1,000 page mark awhile ago and I felt the need to post something taco related. Ohh and Tommy T is a fine man. He makes great music, live onstage and in video games.

@Austin Thanks for looking into that for me. I'm mostly a Xbox gaming guy on modern systems. So upgrading my PC isn't my top priority. I'd definitely upgrade my power when I decided to grab a new card.

3DO, My first CD based gaming console! Road Rash, Need for Speed, Return Fire, Gex, Immercenary and Total Eclipse. Such fun. I owed these back in the day, might be a couple more I'm forgetting. I don't even know how much these really go for nowadays. I owned the model before this one. It had a tray slid out for the CD. The games felt so advanced back then. Road Rash was the system seller for me.

I've done video card swaps before. Ok, actually once. And I was successful, But this was like ten years ago. I needed the upgrade to play Spore. Remember that one? LOL Consider anything for trade @Austin ? No biggie if paypal only..

I played the arcade version to death back in the day. And I was happy to have PAC-MAN in my house on my 2600! Sure it didn't compare to the arcade version, at all! But man, I had the best high score challenges with my brother back then.I still had fun with it, warts and everything.

Whoops.. Seems like I jumped the gun here. Looks like the card needs a min 400 watts power. I believe my Dell only has 250watts. bummer.

Will it work in a Dell Optiplex 9010? I traded my A600 away almost 25 years ago and lost my A3000 about 15 years ago. So I'm tempted to make an offer. Anyone jump at this yet @Tempest ?

This looks great! Animation is smooth and fantastic chip tunes. I think it needs some space shoot'em up levels.

And it works great! 100 total games installed! Sad about Desert Strike not working correctly. But I'm not complaining. I got Crue Ball,Marble Madness and Todd's Adventures installed!

So glad to see I'm not the only person messing around with this. So far only 3 games are giving me issues. Phelios-black screen with error code, TMNT-No sound, and Desert Strike-locks up at mission briefing. I installed about 80 games all zipped. I also togged the higher speed on. Sometimes the system locks up when exiting a game back to the UI. If you wait long enough it will fix itself and reboot or drop back to the game selection screen. Playing my first homebrew (Fix it Felix) game on it was fun! Anyone know if Xenon 2:Megablast has a patched rom so it'll run on a Genesis? I'm lovin what the team has accomplished! Gotta run.

I'll have to wait and see. If a special Halo Infinite edition Series X comes out that might sell me. I need more info! I'm going wait and see with the Amico, I like the idea. I just don't have the time for multiple game systems.

Well.. he does have a point.😉 But hey, Shenmue 2 was on the original Xbox. That alone made it feel special, almost like it was running on enhanced Dreamcast hardware.

Asteroids (Arcade) I spent all my paperboy money on it trying for high score. Star Wars: The Arcade Game (Arcade) It's Atari & Star Wars, together! Spent may weekends at Weirs Beach NH playing this one. Pure Love! River Raid (2600) I never did make it to the end! My teenage mind was convinced it had one. Rogue (Atari ST or iOS version --> Rouge Touch) Some people started with Adventure, Zork or Zelda. Well I stared my first RPG with Rogue. * Sonic 2 (Genesis) First game I pre-ordered, got a free T-shirt too! Who remembers Sonic Tuesday? Halo Reach (X360) Never played 1 or 2. I started with Halo 3, I was excited to see what came next, I was NOT let down.** No Man's Sky (XB1) My everything game. It's the game I have wanted to play since I was a kid back in the early 1980's. It is the answer to my youthful gamer's prayers. I do wish it had less crafting in it. Red Dead Redemption 2 (XB1) I loved RDR and this is the near perfect sequel. The controls are broken and overly complicated for no good reason. and I'd bring these two games for my wife: Seawolf (Arcade) Camp recreation room had this, great memories for her. Plus I never played/heard of it. Was fun to play. Night Stalker (Intellivision) She had fun plying this one with a friend after picking it up at a tag sale. * The Colecovision game Gateway to Apshai was my first adventure/rpg style game. But this was action based, more of a slow arcade game. I love the turn based games way more. So many hours spent on Rogue ST. ** If I could I'd put the Master Chief Collection up there in place of Reach 360 now that it's included in the MCC.
