While I understand how to check grounding in general... In this case I wouldn't know where to check the voltage input...
Man, this is so close I can taste it. Knowing I CAN get the sharp, perfect looking picture on this thing is driving me!

Crazy concept here- could the RF to Coax adaptor be stopping the grounding?
Maybe the power cable I bought is too strong?
I tried the thin wire earlier, shall try again asap.

Okay so- What you're saying is, I need to find a way to ground this, and the cable won't help that issue...
At least I know it will fit... but ugh... the thin wire I was using didn't really change anything...
Honestly, I don't mind getting an official Atari cable... At least it will be PERFECT in those terms.

But... that doesn't seem to be the only issue, it certainly won't hurt though...

Updates so far:
- Touching either/or/all of the right shielding, middle shielding, rca port all but fixes the issue.
- I connected a wire (the original RCA cable!) both ends to the right side shielding and it fixed the issue! But it was far too long and stopped working when I closed it up.
- It is almost certainly a grounding issue, which explains all of the electric potential stuff.

Is there anything I can do to ground it without wires? anything that can stick to it easily and still allow it to close?

Sanding doesn't help :/ I also lowered the length of that cable, and now it's not helping much... Ugh

Basically fixed it! Okay so, I actually randomly decided to attach both ends of the old cable (the original atari cable) to the smaller casing...
IT WORKED?!

Okay so... it's very long so I need to cut it down... how long do you think it should be? and would cutting it down ruin the connection? thanks!

Touched the bottom of the board, under the larger casing. Same thing.
If I touch two fingers to the smaller righthand casing, it all goes away. So I used a wire to move the electricity, but it still has quite a bit left... is there any way to stop all of the extra energy?

I don't see anything like that on the board... the smaller metal casing has only some tabs surrounding it... I'm going to try the wire now though!

Not well, but enough! So... touch only one and see which gets better? That's for sure the metal box...so now I should put a wire where?

I apologize a ton for all these spammy(?) posts, but another huge breakthrough on this end. I seemed to have just confirmed there's a grounding issue!

I have a feeling it's a grounding issue- when the controller is plugged in, it seems to look better. When I touch it, it seems to look better...
Very confusing stuff... any ideas?

It's the rightmost side, and after touching it while playing several times, I can confirm that is helping a TON.
I'll have to look into getting under that safely, and update with pics.

Cable can fit, after some tight closing, but it looks AWFUL closed, likely due to the force on the port.
Beads do nothing...
When I touch the grey box next to the port it sometimes makes the picture better... this has gotta be the cause.
so... what do I do? can anyone recommend a cable that will fit and not have this interference?

I was considering trying the filter, sounds like a plan! However... getting the cable to fit... it sticks straight up for more than in inch, and i'm afraid the angle that the board fits into the top piece just wont allow it to fit... I'll try again though!

without the elbow, the video looks great. Barely anything but a bit of a blurry picture, no biggie. But of course, the console won't close back up without the elbow connector, which makes it just as bad as before...
done for the night, any ideas would be welcome...
at this point I'm ready to buy another cable, anyone with a vader 4 switch have a specific cable they can recommend?

So just scraping it with sandpaper? I just got an elbow connector so that will likely let the cable fit

Tried the small wire again, and a thick stripped wire... It still seems to have the issue... When I touch it though, it works fine!! Ugh it's literally the most annoying issue I've had with a console... And I've fixed up a jaguar cd!
