It's pretty much just a vertical Yar's Revenge, except the shield gets increased, instead of decreased as you progress -

I had improved my score to advance several places, but I forgot to submit it in time. Oh well.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1400504074/the-scientists-1-ya-adventure-of-prodigies-in-peri?ref=4a7d5i I would love if you would check it out. Its a sci-fi adventure in the style of the Goonies or Stranger Things, about a group of science prodigy kids who get kidnapped from a National Science fair and must use their wits to escape.

Bonus: I chose Superman, because I am currently creating my own comic book, which I will be launching on Kickstarter March 9. https://www.scientistscomic.com/preview (also Superman was one of the original dozen Atari games I had as a kid) Kickstarter just launched! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1400504074/the-scientists-1-ya-adventure-of-prodigies-in-peri?ref=4a7d5i

I little refueling tip, if you accelerate up to the refueling plane and then slow down as you touch them, you will hover over them slightly longer as they scroll down, allowing you to gain a little bit more fuel (then just passing over them)

Wow, this is a really cool game I had never tried before! It's got a lot going on. (maybe a little too much) I like it though.

There's also a safe spot between the top and middle tier.

Decided to play a little more for more bonus points. Once you got the basic strategy, there's really not much challenge. Just an endurance test.

44,560: At least I got my 2 bonus points This game kind of reminds me of Laser Blast

congrats on making your game! It looks like you used the Rob Fulop starfield trick That doesn't work on javatari for some reason.. (it just looks like a line moving back and forth)

kinda depressing to crack 100k and not even be close to the top 10... You guys are on another level.

Improved my score

I only had 12 Atari games as a kid, so I can say this for just about all the games that come up. (except that I have since played a ton of games with emulation)

Finally, a reprieve from Football!
