  1. I just tried a different adapter, same thing. Not surprised although I was hoping it would work I am going to switch out the clock again to see if its the clock causing the color issue otherwise I am about to rig up ben hecks svideo mod and see if I can get something directing the COL signal from the TIA through another circuit. Advice is welcomed
  2. Haha, thanks for the input. I tried the power adapter on another unit and it works well. I have another adapter I dug up, I will get around to testing it out tomorrow morning.. As for the switch, it does work. when I toggle it, pin 21 on the RIOT chip alternates from high to low. Also, when I toggle it it changes the output along the LUM0, LUM1 and LUM2 lines. So the switch is working. I feel like I did everything I could and it still wont show color at all. I do not want to throw in the towel on this guy, I hate quitting..
  3. I am working on a modding some Atari consoles. The one I am currently working on was dead. It is a REV. 13. I switched out the clock out and got it work again. Now it is displaying only in black and white. I switched out the TIA and got the same result. I check PIN 9 with my logic probe on the TIA and it is talking. When I check it with the multimeter, it is reading 4.799v. The pull up resistors are both 1k on the multimeter and I replaced the 2 caps along the COL line. I checked this pin on another working Atari I have and it is giving me a reading 2.45v . Just looking for some fresh perspective. Thanks in advance!
  4. Need some help guys, I dusted off my old 4 switch from its 20+ year slumber only to find out that it does not work properly. When I turn it on, sometimes there is a red screen or sometimes just a black creen when it is powered up. I want to try and fix it instead of getting another one from ebay. I replaced the tia, riot and 6507 with tested working ones and I was getting the same results. After some probing I noticed that about 4 of the data lines had a very low voltage. It did not seem like the lines had a short and there was some voltage. What could possibly cause this? Dont want to see this one go; any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
