  1. I was assembling some circuit boards last night... Intellivision. I realized after putting the solder paste on that I was missing one part. I ordered some parts from Digi-Key in MN. I was expecting them here today, but they've only been "picked up" and haven't moved anywhere. In the meantime I put on all the other parts. Now the boards have to wait until the 4 day point (minimum) instead of 1 day. Oh well, the solder paste is still okay so far... .

/no expected snow in southern Ontario.

The boards'll be alright...Just get a spray bottle of flux and give the boards a spurt before you reflow them :D

But you can always clean off the paste on the missing component's pads and reflow what you got, then you just got a little rework to do once the part has arrived

  2. I guess we will be able to play these games when LTO Flash comes out?

Yes, you will be able to add these to the LTO Flash if you have the ROMs.

I believe the Hive will be a multicart that you can add you own ROMs on to it.

There is always the possibility of using emulators, such as the RetroPie/JzIntv on a Raspberry and the Ultimate PC Interface.

  3. I guess I will put my score in early this week. Got a little nerve racking at the end of the game On the last frame i had to slap the side of my TV :)

Hmm, that is the wrong password. I say it is not a valid entry

The password uses a comma and not a period |:)

But it looks like the commissioner has already approved it.

And he says that he slapped the side of the TV, so he was causing an earthquake to get more pins to fall :rolling:

    Congrats, Intellfan!

  4.

Why haven't you played the third one?

I am waiting for Feb to start and I will crack it open and see if I am any good at it for the competition...

Edit: But based on the scores some others have already posted, the game is either easy to get a high score on, or there are already some really good players of it.

  5.

We can't let the integrity of the vote get in the way of grudges and biases can we?

Ideally, every voter would have played every eligible game and chosen the one they prefer. If that isn't possible, then they should consider the ones they HAVE played and choose the best one. That is still a compromise however, and still skews the results. People holding off their vote to the end to vote 'against' other games or to decide the winner is bogus. Obviously, this is just my personal opinion but I see little value in this 'competition' and wish to withdraw all of my games from 'GOTY' next year. If I 'win' I will not accept. I see little value in this whole exercise.

This is exactly why I've not voted and don't really plan to vote.

I only own three of these games, and I've only played two of those.

I don't know if any of the others are better deserving to be the GOTY, so my failure of not being familiar with all the entries means that I will be naturally biased to my three that I own, or really towards one of the two that I've actually played.

That being said, me purchasing those three means that I already voted with my wallet, so I already know my top three, and playing only two of those means I've filtered my top three down to two. So I only need vote for one of the two games that I have actually played.

    What a conundrum

  6. Hmmm. I feel like one of those titles should be an adult title.

    Rimmed? :)

Or FOD = Female Orgasmic Disorder (its a real thing). You have to bang away trying to break the disorder.

I am sure I cam go through the list again and make them all a bit naughtier

We need some Intv versions of Playaround games

  7. Add (not all by me)

    E.A.

    S.F.O.

    S.R.

    S.Q.

    R.T.R.S.C.

    R.

    L.A.

    A1

    F.O.D.

    Q.

So if we are to take a crack at these acronyms:

E.A. = Emergency Assistance. You drive around in a ambulance picking up victims to take to the hospital

S.F.O = Starfleet Operations - a Star Trek game, finally!

S.R. = Speed Racer, a new version of Auto Racing

S.Q. = Soldier Qualification. you need to survive the boot camp activities

RTRSC = Rooster Teeth on a Redheaded Step Child - Intv's version of Plaque Attack

    R = Rimmed - a new basketball variant

LA = Late Arrival - you walk into your house (the maze) drunk late at night and you have to run around and dodge rolling pins, frying pans, lamps, etc, that your wife is throwing at you

A1 = You are a bottle of steak sauce trying you shoot the rampant stampede of steaks

FOD = Field of Dreams - a new baseball game

Q = Quetzalcoatl - Temple Run for Intv

  8.

Sure... then you mention those games, not the Hive itself.

At that point it is a matter of semantics. Some of the games on the deluxe edition will be only available for the first time on the Hive. So which comes first: the Hive or the game(s) that are released on it? They will be released at the same time, on the same device, so you need to request the Hive to be released.

The games are not the only factor on the release date of the Hive, but the release of the Hive will dictate the release date of the games.
