  1. I tried on JZINTV last night and I was also stuck on the Nuke option.
  2. I have been on the Adafruit notification list for when these will be back in stock for months. Always sold out. Rumors are that more are going out to distributors soon.
  3. There was INTV2PC which I believe was a parallel port adapter for INTV controllers
  4. Ah, silly me. Although I haven't used emulation, when I want to record what I am doing I use this: http://www.sketchman-studio.com/rylstim-screen-recorder/
  5. 1980gamer - I just reread your post... We are strictly talking about the Intellivision Bowling cart to be played and not real bowling, or other emulators
  6. I don't think we need any handy caps. We are all fairly handy capped as it is. Some of the people signed up have never played, and some of us haven't played it in 30+ years. I think you'll fit right in to most teams.
  7. You mean you don't have vacuum tipped fingers that suck up the keys as you type like the other ECS owners have? Just spray some WD40 around the keys that get stuck, no?
  8. Don't you know, it is said that the cockroaches will be able to survive a nuke holocaust, so once the nukes are deployed then the cockroaches will take over. Or the ants, like in the "Empire of the Ants" 1977 movie and we are all sprayed in the face by the queen ant and become her drones.
  9. Were the sharks with lasers easy?
  10. Sorry, mr_me, it seems that I hijacked your thread. Both lists are very interesting. Seeing what games are truly original is just as interesting to see as to what were not original and seeing where they got the inspiration from. Well, for me anyway. I've mentioned in other threads on AA, as a kid, we've only owned Channel F and Inty, and I've played a few 2600 games through my System Changer and my buddy across the street. I haven't played many arcade games, and I've never owned any newer console system, so at the time I really didn't know what else was out there - and I still really don't. Both of these lists are interesting to me.
  11. There is a TV channel that recently did a binge showing of Celebrity Bowling from the '70s. Boy did that bring back some memories
  12. Which games are you counting as original? Checker, Chess, Poker, etc, all sports, are all not original, per se... they've existed for a long time before Intellivision I don't know much about other consoles and arcade games of that era to really compile a list of what could/should be truly original to Inty Maybe the list of truly original games is much shorter? Utopia Astrosmash Shark Shark All the Tron games? Star Strike Truckin' There are more, so does anyone else want to add on to the list?
  13. mr_me - it sounds like Asaki does not want to use USB. He mentions that he wants to make a parallel port adapter, so sounds like he wants to go from parallel port to Inty controller. I am not sure if there is any real advantage to that, but we whose to say. Asaki - what schematics are you looking for? Here is the Intellivision controller pinout: http://arcarc.xmission.com/Web%20Archives/Deathskull%20(May-2006)/games/tech/intvcont.html
  14. How about if you lay the manual, box and overlays next to each other and they complete a larger picture? Like the back of the Star Wars trading cards making a scene from the movie. Or the Pepsi can "sex" message:
  15. I wish bumpers existed in the game, and being able for the ball to bounce in to the next lane
  16. Monsieur Pimpmaul, shall we team up?
  17. Plus, when people are bored and they make a falling cart domino video, if the carts have nice large labels, then we can see easily what carts were used by the large label.
  18. I don't think that the artwork on the cart necessarily competes with the artwork on the manual cover, or box. It can complement them. The cart artwork is many times just the same artwork that is on the box or manual. Do you look at the Congo Bongo cart and say "nah, it is too cluttered and distracting. Let's rip off that label"? I was just asking a question about the shape/design of the carts, but I don't mind expanding this to a discussion on the labels and the artwork. The labels on the Mattel carts is just too plain. Just a simple text. I like what they did for BurgerTime and others when they used the game's 'official' font/script
  19. If it is a free league, then there are no club shirts?
  20. Within the Inty, the boards are usually sealed within a sheetmetal housing, so you should be able to open the plastic housing with little fear of breaking something. I am curious if someone used it as a piggy bank.
  21. Ah, I see. You need pimples for the buttons and the disc area so you get the tactile feel of where things are at without looking. Grab another screen protector and cut out circles the proper size and stick them where they need to go. Now when you are using the disc you will feel the lip of the circle and know where it is; same for each button.
  22. I know of the MTE test cart, but I am not at all familiar with it, but if you only get a black or green screen out of the Inty unit, then how can the MTE test cart help?
  23. would using a stylus help you so you out?
