I ended up winning this although it was getting dangerously close to my max bid. Not sure if with shipping I overpaid for what I wanted out of the lot, but it does add quite a bit to my loose collection +16 games: Diner, Thunder Castle, Tower of Doom, Dig Dug, Slam Dunk, Pinball, Motocross, Boxing, Skiing, Pole Position, Swords & Serpents, Centipede, Happy Trails, Stampede, Mouse Trap and Qbert +2 replacements: Roulette and Soccer (my labels fell off) +2 (at least) variants: Mission X red label, Sub Hunt white label

For more 16-direction fun, be sure to check out Microsurgeon. The best (and intended!) way to play it is hold both controllers at once as an early take on dual-stick shooting.

It likely would only replicate the current experience. The impression the signal would leave on the vhs tape would likely still be too weak for the projector. I've tried that approach trying to convert SNES footage onto an HD capture card (which otherwise could capture VHS movies), but had no luck. Interested in hearing the solution if its found as I'm otherwise in the same boat.

I cracked open an Intellivision and found a dead bug larger than any vent or slot. Possible explanations for this have been both mysterious and intriguing.

Brand new here, and HI! BGH is just short for BlueGunstarHero which is my username on another forum. At the time I created that account I chose the name since GunstarHero was taken, and of the two Gunstar brothers I preferred Blue to Red both in character design and in my preference of fixed shot over free shot. Don't get me wrong, my earliest gaming memories are Intellivision and some edutainment DOS releases like Astro Grover and Treasure Mountain (I assume at 31 I'm relatively a baby here) but Gunstar Heroes was the one where my interest in video games really solidified.

Intellivision Rocks! Also, a question about Intellivision Rocks!

Thanks! I didn't realize the ROMs could be extracted from the CD for use; awesome! Is it the same with the Lives! CD as well? -
What 8-Bit game is most like Metroid?
BGH replied to wongojack's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Digging up an older topic to throw in Zillion for SMS; it's a 2D sidescrolling action game with a large map featuring backtracking similar to Metroid, although instead of unlocking new areas through powerups, you unlock them through passwords you find elsewhere on the map. Blaster Master has already been mentioned, but I wanted to say that it also features what's arguably the best aspect of Metroid, which is a powerup that makes you rethink the map as you know it (like the ice beam). This happens several times during Blaster Master, the first of which involves getting to area 4. Faxanadu also does this with the wing boots, but it's somewhat more linear in its map design with less backtracking. -
Hey all, created an account on the site since I've been on an Intellivision kick for the past few months ever since my family's 2609-A fried its logic board. Sometimes you don't remember what you had until it's gone, huh? Anyway, that got me to buy an Intellivision II... then a Flashblack... and then another 2609-A (I got hooked bad). I was looking at the Intellivision Rocks CD from a few years ago and saw that it contained all the Activision and Imagic games, as well as most of the ECS games which would be pretty neat to have (crosses fingers for Flashback 2), although I don't want to play via keyboard. Does anyone know if the disk may be compatible with the Inty II or Flashback controller if I were to buy one of the DB9 to USB adapters on the market? I was looking at one from Retronic designs, but not sure if the CD would recognize it as an input device.
