I recently saw a flier at a flea market a little north of where I am, and it appears that on August 26th & 27th, there will be the East Coast Gaming Expo in Reading, PA. Didn't hear about it anywhere else, but for the people like me who live in Pa, and don't get to go to may gaming cons, this looks like something to do. http://www.ecgxpo.com/index.html
  3. I like how its on the tv there. I passed up one of those too, as I already have a boxed one. Yesterday, however, I picked up a boxed Arcadia 2001, with all of the fixins. I don't think it was ever used, but it was opened. Now if I only had a game to test it with... Oh yeah, it was $5.
  4. As for the Mac, you need a PC to softmod, but if you chip it, and have an FTP client for the Mac, I think that should work out.
  5. It should do all of your media, including pictures, It also depends on your XBOX version if you want to use VCDs. You need an older Samsung drive to be able to use VCDs, and even then it may not work. Samsung drives are determined by two holes in the tray. There is a newer version of the XBOX (Late 2004) that uses a Samsung drive, but it won't play unsigned media. Alternatively, you could put in another DVD drive if you are using a modded XBOX, or even slave a Samsung brand DVD drive to the one you have, splitting the power with the HD. You could also adjust the intensity via the screw on the DVD Drive, but its dangerous. Not really. You do need a pc to have a network card to interface with the Xbox for an FTP (File transfer). I'm pretty sure its the game. Have you tested others? Anyway, the DVD drives will die. They simply get used too much. My friend has cleaned his alot, but still gets the dirty disc error. -------- Also, the existing HD might be 8 or 10 igs, but its read as 8 regardless of any extra room. If you don't know how to already, read up on FTP.
  6. I found a food source, pies mostly. I'll looks for the sporting goods.
  7. I didn't check the old links for what they may have on them now. expect that one to go away, though.
  8. First Update in near 7 months. http://doritos.sitesled.com Its a temporary name until I can find a free host that support 150 Megs storage, and 3 gigs of monthly bandwidth. I'm thinking freehostia.
  9. I died twice... Early on too... Should you try to kill all of the zombies coming at you, or run to a better place? I've been running, and it isn't working too well.

  11. I believe the 266 was a Pentium II I have two boxes bearing that sticker sporting that speed. I have a KMS box, but the bios won't let me boot from any HD besides the one I bought it with.

  17. An XBOX? My friends are selling them for about $80. If you get one through a game store, expect higher. But be sure there is some sort of warranty. I think refurbs from EB have 90 days or somehing. I've seen far to many XBOXs stop reading discs. Mostly with a Thompson drive. If you were to buy certain XBOX live enabled games, you might also get a 2 months free card with the game. After that, it charges to a credit card. You can also get a $60 XBL kit from retail stores of online. You get a 12 month card, a game, and a microphone (important). I play everyday on Halo 2 and its great when you have a friend come over and you both play. i recomend to anyone. Live really ups the replay value.

  19. You have to pay $50 a year. No special modem is needed. It connects regularly through a Broadband modem. Everything on the Xbox is pre=configured. It will work right out of the box. Are you talking about the XBOX, or the 360?
