  1. Not so useless topic anyway, reading the entire post solved my problem of converting my mega st4 to 6 x eprom. Socketed the 74ls11 ic and all perfect. Nice idea the 512 eprom switch, I,d like to experiment with tos 2.06 and Peter said something about a hardware patch needed, any info on this?
  2. Hello all, here is a link to a small video (English subs) presentation regarding a multi-card project for the Atari 5200 we are developing in our retro club (A.R.C. Athens retro center) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l0K-qZ2bJI if there are people interested in this project since we are going to do a small batch run internally just state it here. This is not a pre-order topic, if there is enough interest i'll ask the author to make a specific post. Thank you. ps. Video is in Italian language since YouTube can't handle Greek language captions and my English is not fluent as used to be
  3. Signals are pin 29 ok, pin 30 not ok, and pin 31 on cpu socket ( with no cpu inside). That is the Data 5 line that I’ve checked countless times for shorts, solder blobs or anything else. Anyway i’m done with this board, it needed a fresh view so I send it to Bas to continue tinkering with it. Will update with his findings.
  4. All ic checked working, also recapped but no changes.
  5. Already checked schematics multiple times, thank you, and a small correction to my first post the Data Lines are stacked Low not High 3-4 seconds after power on or reset.
  6. I need some help and a fresh view on a 130xe repair, at present time video out is dark red screen. When I got the board found that someone attempted to socket the OS destroying a good number of vias, I restored the damage and checked all the connection. I then socketed all major ic and ram. Now all ic are checked working on another board, what Im getting is all data lines stacked high. Im getting a pulse at startup or reset and then they stack high. Removing the cpu and checking lines am getting a LOW signal probe on pin 30 that is data line 5. Ive checked multiple times all the D5 trace on the pcb and could not found anything wrong. Below a video with scope and board photos. Any idea on what to try is welcome. Not recapped yet but I dont see how a dry capacitor could affect D5.
  7. So no one here have an XC12... never mind found the remains of the spring in the cassette port so I can remake one. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Hello all, recently I got my hands on a xc12 tape player. I've started restoring it and I found that it's missing the "spring" or whatever keeps the cassette door open. Can someone with an xc12 put some photos of what this mechanism looks like, where is physically located and works since I could not find anything on the net. Really appreciate the help. 9. Please add me for a cased one, thank you
