I know that is not brand new, but i want to show my work. This is my first home-brew multi-game (16 in 1) cartridge, i have to say that is very easy to do, thanks to the Atariage people who show how to put the game in a EPROM instead the original ROM. The original concept stills, i use one 74LS14 to invert Enable signal. My work: I use an 27C512 EPROM, A12 A13 A14 A15 are afected to LOW by the 4 switch, normaly one 10K resistor forced to "1" every adress. That way you can select 16 games(4K every). The Next: make 8K banksw., and select a nice 16 8K games (27C1001). Switches Internal view Eprom and custer revange(dream come true). 2 more games: Pitfall y Indy500XE (mod. by gus) If you don't ear about this modification before, I hope who sees this post tries to do it. Like a part of a large project and because I need the cartridge slot free, I make a very small internal My IDE... This My ide dont use HDD cable, in order to reduce cable disorder the board is solder directly on IDE connector pines... take a look. solder side component side HDD up HDD down

Maybe, this sounds closer an good solution. Anyway I have many PAL carts, and all of them works, but fails sometimes.

Hola a todos Como estas Franky, sabes que acabo de encontrar un cart Combat que es PAL, que sistema de TV tienen en mexico (NTSC, PAL). Hace tiempo tube una consola PAL y la tube que vender, mala onada, pero así fue, ahora tendré que esperar a conseguir otra. En todo caso el CART, funciona bien en las consolas NTSC que tengo, aunque a veces se taima. Bueno, saludos para todos desde Chile. Luis

Thanks, any way that's "rare" for me. Besides adding up another cart to my collection. A few months ago, I had a 2600 PAL console and for some reason I had to sell it. Someday another console will come to me. I hope so.

Yup, because i have many non-working 130XE. You can get Gate Array chip from a bad 130XE, is a problem of search and found. Every knows, even in Chile (so far in the world), the bad quality of the last 65XE made in China and Taiwan (excuse me if your country are of Taiwan or China) the problem is with the manufacturers and the cut of productions cost.

jejeje, tks, i'm not electronic engineer, but i have some knowledge about electronics and Atari of course. Not every 65XE can be mod. by that way. Good...good...I use my 800xl every days, Atari have many years of entertaintment to us, lets keep playing, modding, repairing.....(or burning )....

If you have a 65XE with only 2 Rams (64K), like this: Note this label inside. You can make ram upgrade very easily: Remove 3 resistors, to solder the correct chip: put one CO25953 put 2 extra rams Now you have a nice 65XE with 130K ram.

Ok, i solve this myself: The missing chip is the guilty, replace all resistors by one CO25953 and put 2 extra rams, and you have a nice 65xe with 130K.

and the "end" goes to..... 2 rca to my TV set. This is my personal solution, i use every day this configuration: 1050 + sio 2 pc + 800xl, this cable clean my own mess, i don't know if is usefull for another people, i only try to put one solution in mind. ...this the end....

Yes, in fact, the board is a eprom burner and i use every days.

One simple mod.: replace power cable, av cable and sio cable, all of them in one single and flexible cable, looks like PC keyboard. 1° Many hard cables (I hate them's ). 2° Make a hole and put one DB-9 male connector. 3° Solder conections. 4° Put the cover. 5° Ready to go. All cables good bye. I want to make this since i have my 800XL.

hi, i have one 65xe 64KB ram (2chip 64KBx4) HY53C464 inside say I'am a 130XE 64x4, but don't have the 4 rams. Anyway, I solder two sockets and put two another chips to upgrade the computer to 130XE (U11-U12), but it hang. This is one of the last 65xe produced in china. I think the chip missing U3 (replaced with a few resistors) is necesary to make this upgrade. Some advice i apreciate. tks. ZZT
