If you dont have a multimeter: I suggest use a 1k resistor with the LED, that way prevent it blow. If the LED glows low: put a 500 ohms resistor 1/4W If the LEd glows hi: put a 2K ohms resistor 1/4W Is only a reference, try other resistors to best results.

A friendly tip: Each system have a different (similar but not equal) bank switching. Take this in mind, center your atention in one system and work on it.

Last week i buy one Atari2600 without games. For this reason star this project: to change cartridges like COMBAT or ASTEROIDS, and put another new games in its boxes. Please give me a short list with our favorite games or those you think are the best ones. Here is a picture of the PCB ready to receive a Eprom... -
Whenever I rescue one 1050 of the flea markeks or simply I buy one used, I put them under revision with DISKDIAG program, it allows to fit the speed, to fit the track zero sensor, control the operation of the stepper motor, review the communication, and also review the heads works appropriately. Find DISKDIAG on the net and try.

I own 4 kinds of software (loaders) for making homebrewed x-in-1 cartridges. The first one released by Prisma Soft in 1990, the second one by Turbosoft in 1993, the third one by WillySoft (2003) and the last is a brand new system. But you have to make your own investigations to achieve the goal. And try to rule the world ZZT

7800 problem: read 2600 carts, but dont 7800 carts
ZZTOP SOFT replied to ZZTOP SOFT's topic in Atari 7800
Tanks to everybody who colaborate with yours aids in this post. The fu.... cartridges from Australia are PAL and dont work, there is the problem, with another carts from USA works OK. Mitch: special tks for you. 7800 works spectacular, surprising graphics and sounds. ¿What is the diference between XL/XE and 7800? 7800 only have one more chip (Maria), ¿Is this chip the guilty of the 7800 Hi-perfomance? Anyway I do some fix on it, eliminates the weird power connector and put standar 2600 plug, very, very carefully, with no scratches on PCB. And i put a door gate (800XL cooperate) to protect the cart conector from dust, cocacola and other things. PD: This Sunday i come to a flea market and found and purchase an Atari 520ST FM and SM124 Monitor for $2500 pesos (U$4), single I want to share my happiness with you by this finding. ZZT -

Thanks, Mitch, your advise was useful. We tested NTSC carts from the USA and they worked fine. So we think there was a PAL problem. That's a pity, cause we owned a Double Dragon cart from Australia, and we couldn't play it. :'( Mitch: you would send us a PAL 7800 to test the Double Dragon cart. :D:D -
