Hello!
Here is a link to the Impulse X webpage, at the bottom you will find photos of the two product packages.
The CD version comes on a CD-R in a DVD-box among with a manual and a poster (with cheat code tables on it's back).
Kind regards
Matthias
Thanks! Wasn't even aware there was a cartridge version...sorry I missed out on that!
Anybody on the forum making rotary controllers for sale? Would love to get one for this and T2K.

I got rid of my NES collection like it was trash. It never worked. Never played it, and when I did I didn't like it. I felt kind of sorry for the guy that bought it, and he felt sorry for me. I just didn't care and he who bought it got super happy finaly getting the Punch out version without Mike Tyson in it (Mr White or what ever instead).
I believe that was "Mr. Dream". Before the Mike Tyson version, Super Macho Man was the final boss.

Yeah, I'd totally be on board for a cart!

Hello, and a happy new year!
As mentioned just some weeks ago in this thread, the CD version of Impulse X is still available.
Kind regards
Matthias
Thanks! Do those come with cases/artwork/manuals, or just a CD-R in a jewel case? The link isn't very clear.
-
And of course, I missed out on the copy I saw available. Can't even find one now.

The verbosity reminds me of Kosh
Or a bit (from Tron).

I'm amazed at some of the technical know-how people on this site have. Wish I had similar expertise.
-
I bought Elansar and Philia, will definitely pick up AMR and Yopaz when available!
-
Well, if you plan to sell anything on this site hit me up. I'd definitely pay a fair price for several of those games!
-
Yes, those prices are USD. Auctions can be fickle...sometimes they'll go through the roof, others they fall kinda flat. You're just taking a chance, unless you set a reserve price.
-
The system and CD expansion CIB can nab $500 on the low end, I'd gather, depending on completeness and condition. If they're in great shape expect almost twice that. World Tour Racing I see for around $200 on occasion, maybe a bit more. Battlesphere can go for anywhere from $400 to $800. Some of the limited stuff like Impulse X and Another World are difficult to put a price on because resale scammers are always gouging people on eBay, but typically they go for about $80-120 if one is willing to be reasonable. Are you looking to sell these? There are several I'd be interested in off the bat!

Fair enough. Just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know.

Appreciate it, I just don't have the hardware to do that stuff, and I like having a nice, crisp game box on my shelf.

Look in the Atari St ports thread for a surprise lol
I mean an actual cart, not a download.
-
Nice!!!! Great read! I have the cart version and it is downright unplayable. I hop
The unplayability of the cart version makes you want pancakes?

-Raiden II and more top down shooters akin to Raiden
-Badlands (hey I think there's an ST version of this one...)
-Blackthorne (dos/32x/snes)
-STUN Runner, Race Drivin' and other Atari arcade games of the era
-Slipstream 5000 (dos)
-Would also like a Lynx game adapter cartridge akin to super gameboy

Nice list! I was just thinking I'd have loved to see Raiden II on the system, and even intimated as much in Shinto's Raiden podcast episode. The Lynx game adapter would be badass also! In addition, I wouldn't mind seeing ports of Street Fighter II Championship Edition, any of the Castlevania 16-bit offerings, Final Fight, Prince of Persia, R-Type, Smash TV, U.N. Squadron, Mortal Kombat, and Samurai Showdown.

I'm impressed by speed runs for any game. It takes a lot of dedication and practice, whether for good games or bad. Watching them for exceptionally difficult games (like the Ghosts and Goblins or Mega Man series) is doubly impressive.

I was referring to that having been my 100th post on Atari Age.

Trevor McFur. I didn't know it existed until I got it in a jaguar game lot like five years back off ebay. Its so bad its good.
Gotta agree with this one. Rather impressive graphics for the day, but what a dog.

Need to get a copy for my collection, but doubt I'll ever get the money to really be in on one. Did just use an Amazon gift card from my uncle to get Fight for Life, Cybermorph, and Bubsy all CIB, so that puts me at 39 carts CIB now. Baby steps.
-
Still have mine in the shrink wrap after getting it in a lot. Didn't need the Team Tap for any other games and nothing I'd ever seen made me think WMCJ was worth the effort to take out and play.
-
Man, I hope they keep making them. Just saw some Jag-bag selling one on eBay for $280 (starting bid). Can't believe it actually has a bidder. I'm willing to take my chances they keep pumping out another seventy or eighty copies.
-
Kinda want to get one of those, but been concentrating more on games and systems than accessories.
-
I love the arcade, but was a bit disappointed in their pinball selections. Like most things there, I'd imagine it will improve with time. Do they have that twin screen Darius cabinet working yet? My brother saw that being built and damn near freaked out.
-
I have to get their newsletter or something. Completely missed that!

Matthias, the email on your link page didn't work. Want to order a copy but can't get the process started.
