Hmmm, that's interesting. I have the TG16 version coming in the mail, so I'm looking forward to a direct comparison. Haven't played the TG16 version in a LONG time to make a side-by-side comparison.

Ugh, I'm about 100 games into my Turbografx 16/CD collection and about everything remaining is either $100+ or just impossible to find in almost any form (Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Legend of Hero Tonma). I still have plenty of cheap NES games I can grab here and there, but the library is about six times larger, so that's no surprise.

Enough with your updates, curse your eyes! Just let me know when I can throw money at you and get a copy!

NEW Jaguar Cartridge available NOW! Including Ltd Edition
Trooper Galactus replied to Gaztee's topic in Atari Jaguar
Been out of touch, but received my copy about a month ago. Haven't had a chance to play it yet, though I did notice it doesn't fit in my plastic box protectors like other Jaguar games, so darn. Looking forward to giving it a whirl! -
Holy crap, Rolling Thunder was one of my arcade favorites as a kid! I'd totally be on board for one of those. And yes, add me to the fictional Xevious pre-order list as well.

Translucent RED Jaguar Console Shells - ORDER NOW
Trooper Galactus replied to Parrothead's topic in Atari Jaguar
Sounds like it should look cool, though not sure I would bother with one. Don't exactly have spare Jaguars lying around to tinker with. Would love to see a pic! -
And my only experience with the game was renting OOTW for the SNES when I was in high school. Was very impressed by the seamlessness of the graphics and controls, though damn that game was friggin' hard!

Just sent an email to get on the list. Hopefully they're still taking new orders!

Wanted to contribute to the AvP podcast, but I've found in my old age I am incapable of playing a lot of early first person shooters because they give me motion sickness. This pretty much means Doom, Wolfenstein, AvP, Marathon, Medal of Honor, and the like are all off the table these days. However, looking forward to getting a few hours in on T2K.

One of my old Genesis favorites. Would definitely be in on a copy of Road Rash if it becomes available. Have to agree with PWW's sentiment about the road size, though...biker is about the size of a Buick in the lane.

Intriguing idea. I know there's a mini golf game on the Lynx, but it's next to impossible to find a copy.
-
Props for ZAMN! Didn't own a lot of SNES games, but that was one I cherished back in the day.
-
Why in the name of all that is holy would anybody want Bubsy 3D ported? Almost every "Worst Video Games Ever" list I've ever seen has that monstrosity on it.
-
I wouldn't be utterly disappointed with a direct translation, but I sure wouldn't mind the minor tweak here and there.
-
Is the sound the same or has it been improved upon some? I actually found the bomb noise slightly off-putting.
-
Say again?
-
Wouldn't it have to be Xevious 3000 now? Doesn't seem very futuristic otherwise.
-
Thanks, didn't notice the English lines at first. Wish I could still order one.
-
Just played this on my arcade machine! Always liked the multi-dimensional aspect requiring use of bombs to attack ground targets (something lost in Raiden). Look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Anybody have a link for RGC? Couldn't find them with a google search. Side note: that copy on eBay sold for about $250 with a lot of last second bids.
-
Yeah, Doom always struck me as purely action oriented. AvP had a bit more of that eerie suspense thrown in.

Tron Video Clips Tests Dual Cinepak CD Set

One of my all-time favorite movies; The Matrix long before Wachowskis came along. Became a fan of Babylon 5 partly because seeing Bruce Boxleitner in Season 2 hooked me. -
I imagine in my mind's eye people playing 16-player Marathon: Durendal on four linked Jaguars. Baby Halo.

I dunno, I would have thought it might be able to handle something at least close to one of those games, but I'll trust you when you say it was out of reach. Still, I do believe a lack of innovation that would help separate it from the existing systems really made it a difficult sell from the start.
