Am I the only one doubting the Kickstarter will actually be this Friday?

I seem to remember Capcom and Konami (although don't quote me on that as I was listening to the podcast whilst falling asleep). The Giant Bomb guys basically dismissed the project as a joke although respectfully wished him luck.

What you say sounds absurd at first but absurdity equals logic with this project and I fully believe we'll hear that they're in talks with FAO Schwarz, Toys 'R' Us and Hamleys et al now if only people will invest $250 (plus shipping) in their Kickstarter campaign.

The difference is you're talking about two real companies and one real product. Here there is just one man with a retroland dream, one brand name for hire and still no actual physical product.

Serious question:- if (irregardless of whether they can/will) they managed to lower the cost to $150 and the target to $1,000,000 and obviously have a prototype then what realistic chance have of they of achieving this new hypothetical goal on Kickstarter?
