  1. There are plenty of tools out there that will convert flash, animated gifs and avi files to screen savers. I have not found a good free one though... Here is an example of one I made from an unregistered program: atariswan.zip
  2. Actually, if you are talking about the 8-bit codes in Rec. 601, then black is at 16 and white is at 235. The color difference components range from 16 to 240. Luma component has a range/excursion of ~220 and chroma components ~225. Wow, very limited information at Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCIR_601 For NTSC analog video, black should be at ~ 53 4/7 mV, White at ~714 2/7 mV, Blanking at 0 mV, and Sync at -285 5/7 mV. I guess that means since we have 16 luma values available on the Atari, they should be ~(660 5/7)/16 mV apart.
  3. All pics are from my old school Hauppaugge WinTV capture card via composite. From 800XL #1 | From 800XL #2 | From 130XE #1 | From 130XE #2 (has clear-pic video mod)
  4. Thanks! But it just requires my Omnimon Enabled 130XE.
  5. Thanks everyone! I think that it may have been crossword magic, but I cannot get a good printout. Now I wish that I had not thrown out my Star SG-10 printer. I'll have to try and see if the APE virtual Epson printer works well with this... hmmm, I bet I have some old printouts from 8 grade somewhere to compare... I would like to see other Crossword programs.
  6. That sounds about right. I don't remember it being that fancy, but a plain screen with some ATASCII chars and a way to print it out.
  7. Does any remember this program? I used to have a program for the 8-bit that would generate crossword puzzles. I cannot remember if it was in Basic or not. All I do remember is that you gave it a list of words and it generated a crossword puzzle for you. I cannot find it and I cannot remember what it was called. I used it to complete some homework assignments in 8th grade... Thx, C
  8. Very Cool! It looks very close to the original. Yup, this is going to waste a lot of my time.
  9. Paint Shop Pro 8, with a little hand selecting, cloning, skew, Gaussian blur and this font: gemfontone.zip
  10. Yup! You got me... My small attempt to be funny. I switched the keys around and photo shopped the CX84 (with the closest font I could find). April Fools!!!
  11. I have tried it in joystick #2. But still it does not work. Hmmm, maybe it is not compatible with the CX85 handler
  12. Hello fellow Texan! Hmmm, I cannot seem to get the CX85 handler to work with this. I'll do some more debug...
  13. Happy to do it. I hope I can translate more in the future...
  14. I went to the Goodwill close to my house with the family last night. I can, on occasion, find the random Atari thing, but Atari items are becoming more and more rare to find in the wild. But, I did find an 8-bit Atari keypad. I've been wanting one of these to test out a few programs. Also, I've seen it posted before, but where can I find the handler for the keypad?
  15. I wonder if they will use Ataris and Apples in Tron 2.0?
  16. AMS Show (My copy is called "Magic Music Player or AMS II") http://atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=3476 Most likely not this one: "The Rotberg Synthesizer" http://atari.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=1022 here are some others from my archive: Techbop (press 1-9): techbop.zip Stereo (Does not really seem to be in stereo and requires OS-B): stereo.zip More AMS Stuff: ams.zip ams_b.zip ams2.zip
  17. Here in the states, the Atari outputs 240p (352x240 progressive @ 60Hz), your work has brought it to 480i!
  18. Thanks! I have been following LW as well. In fact, much of the display list was stolen from your code! I will certainly share what I find out in tying this into the OS. There are still plenty of features I want to add...
  19. Here is an update. I still have not fixed some of the lockup issues, but I did fix some things: setting the RAMTOP added code to pause displaying when the CTRL-1 is pressed. (Unlike, the normal S:, you can press any other key to continue) Fixed the arrow keys (made them work properly) Fixed the start-up screen and cursor placement. flashe.zip
  20. Hmmm, I used to have a program for the 8bit called wardial (A Wargames style dialer). I cannot find it in my archives I have left. Anyone else seen this one... I also have a Bluebox program for the ST...
  21. Thanks for all the feedback. I'll have another version out soon...
  22. It is a real recording. Danko remixed it himself with new equipment: http://www.danko.se/ http://www.myspace.com/derdanko Listen to "Mein Apparat 64", too.. Haha, he says that it sounds like "Pudelpop mit vielen blip und blop" Yeah, I think it is Swedish translated into English, which is translated into German... Some language entropy happens with each translation.
  23. Wow. Interesting. Are you using a PAL or NTSC machine? Mine is an NTSC 130XE and it is very stable... hmmm, I'll investigate!
  24. These are awesome and closer to the original SIDs. Here is a recording of Pop from my hardware with the volume not so high... pop.zip
