i know its redundant but i wanted to see which computer was a better buy for the money. i am checking 4 catagories: 1. games (this includes ports and current developments) 2. graphics: basically, did the computer take full advantage of it palette in games, was there color clash, etc... 3. ease of use: does someone need a converter or any other piece of equipment to use the computer (PAL for the Apple II and NTSC for the ZX spectrum) 4. Price: essentially, which is a better value for the money? do you need extra equipment or does it come pre packaged? (tape drives, assembler, Disk drives, controllers already bundled). 5 (I know its cheating). BASIC. how hard is it to use, does it give full access to the computer's color and audio. if it does, how easy/hard is to access them? does the computer support Low and high resolution graphics? are there any drawbacks, if so what?

i'm actually 2/3rds of the way through snatcher and its pretty good. now, rebel assault on the other hand, I would love to see a comparison of the DOS, 3DO and Sega CD versions

​Growing up in 1993, I grew to cherish the likes of Tomb raider, Duke Nukem 3D, Doom (which I played in 2002) and even Tarzan, all for windows 98. a lot of these games are considered "old fashioned" and "casual" is now used as an insult. and it saddens me to see the once proud gaming community, be reduced to infighting and rivalry. we used to be a fun loving community. now, go on a board and mention the new DOOM. flame bait. how Quake 4 is better than the original? instant ban. maybe it's just me, but I yearn for the good old days of gaming. back when Sega Ruled with an iron fist and Nintendo struggled to compete, when Games were...actual games, not 60 dollars a pop for an hours worth of crap, but actual games that you could play, enjoy with friends and be happy with. when rental stores still existed and the words DLC and MIcro-transaction, did not exist. ​ the gaming industry is going down a path I do not want to follow. I will hold onto my xbox, ps2 and Wii with both hands but will not touch another system (save the PC and xbox one) ever again. thoughts?

i have WinVice and tw thingz have always bugged me: 1. what software is compatible with the plus/4 and where do i get the roms? 2. how do i access the other software packages, i can only access the wordpad (which doesn't even work)

that still doesn't answer one question: why is my text being input backwards. the parser skips behind my words and they come out jumbled
