  1. Shipping is not included. If you buy both items, I'll cover shipping. PM me if interested. Thanks.
  2. I didn't find much on Ebay - just two completed controller-only BIN listings for $11 and one current BIN listing for $199.95 ("brand new" - although pictures of it appear to show shelf wear). Atari 2600 Faster Blaster (third-party controller) General consensus seems to be that this is one of the worst Atari 2600 controllers (if not the worst ).
  3. IIRC, I picked up this item awhile back (15 or 20 years ago) at a flea market (the San Jose Flea Market, for you locals ). cart screenshot 1 screenshot 2 screenshot 3 I don't currently have a production release for comparison, but the startup and gameplay are very similar to that in the videos I've seen on Youtube.
  4. I'm not really looking for trades at the moment. PM me if interested. Thanks. 5. First of all, thanks for all of your hard work, ThumpNugget. FYI, there are eight pages missing between pages 348 through 361.
  6. I don't have the released version, so I can't compare it with the prototype. There is a comparison of a different prototype cart (having a similar orangish label) with the released version in this article on NintendoPlayer.
  7. According to software developer Madfinger Games, the Android platform has an 'unbelievably high' piracy rate: http://www.theverge.com/2012/7/23/3177238/dead-trigger-free-android-piracy-rate
  8. ThumpNugget, thanks for all your hard work in scanning these issues. It's much appreciated! Over your posting hiatus, I managed to catch up skimming through my backlog of downloaded BYTE issues. FYI, BYTE vol 11-03 (the one with the Atari ST on the cover) has stickied pages 65-68.
  9. If you can find one cheaply, an Xband modem has a passthrough mode that can be used to play Super Famicom games. Unlike some other converters, the Xband modem connects all the cartridge pins.
  10. Virtual Apple has the disk image for Odell Lake, runnable with the ActiveGS plug-in (which can also take screen shots).
  11. I think it's not enough because vcsdream should be banned permanently. Why ? Because he is a little cheater. You see vcsdream = frenchman. Yeap, I'm 99% sure that he is our old "uber brainiac" who used to amuse us to death with his "deep knowledge" and "logical thinking". First he compromised himself many times, next got timely banned and after that cowardly registered again under a false nickname. And he surely thinks he is sooooo smart. The new nickname hasn't changed his mentality and he still trolls around here, therefore another ban. Well, only Albert can check both IP addresses to be 100% sure. I don't know if Albert allows such dirty tricks here, but most admins hate being bamboozled like this by such half-smart dickheads and they usually ban them for good. vcsdream and frenchman have each posted images under the same Photobucket account: frenchman in this thread he started - http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu25/voltageman321/P1010027.jpg vcsdream in this thread (where he references 'his' Master Gear converter) - http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu25/voltageman321/SegaGameGear.jpg But back to the topic - IMHO, both machines (Atari 8-bit and ST) have their own merits; neither is superior in everything to the other.
  12. For a comparison of soccer games... The 1983 release of 'International Soccer' by Commodore: The 1982 release of 'Soccer' by Gamma Software for the Atari:
  13. The trailer looks good, but man, are some of those weapons huge or what?
  14. "Two Bytes Are Better Than One" By that logic, the first 'true' 16-bit computer for the masses was the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A.
