Funny, I thought it was more like 365.2422. It's important to use the actual values when you write software that is to nanosecond accuracy (as I do occasionally). It's a freebie, they've chosen to announce something today that was in place 6 months ago. -

Guessing some people might like to try this, mind you a double April fool. -

The fact Jeff Minter also tweeted this out should be a bit of verification -

Very nice, does explain the cryptic responses from CJ when someone asked for it in a thread on here. -
And it looked like Mexico was going to have to pay for the other post

I find that most games with 64 in the title have similar levels of interest...

It does sound like bees doing DIY But that's pretty accurate

But this is likely to be available to other players

Out of interest is this for a different game to the one you are working on with Jeffrey Bonez? -
How about zombie antz, when they are squashed you could have them contaminate any other antz they collide with.

Bubble memory ftw

That would be using those fake screen shots that were produced for magazine coverage (stated they were fakes by the guy who produced them iirc). There is some information about it over on unseen64 where the guy who has been banned from here and numerous other places, that happens to know you, has also been trying to perpetuate the myth it is real. Are you posting on behalf of him again? A necro bump of a 10 year old thread for something a compadre is currently trying to prove.... I call great big hirsute spheroids.

Paper tape - the most inefficient method ever used. The holes stored the data and the paper just held the holes together.

That's numberwang!

Reckon its going to require a Phillips V2000 player for full experience. That or an RCA video disc player.

I've just messaged you with bit of background info but it's slowly progressing. Bit of a breakthrough re: circuit board recently and hope to get some test boards made up soonish.
-
You are correct, I'd not actually used it in anger.

Here is the missing file for anyone else who wants it. README.TXT
-
It's actually mentioned in the read.me included with the zip file. Also says about who wrote it and why (to learn about programming graphics). Not a great fan of reading docs I take it Not sure where the 2000 designation comes from, title screen and file calls it asteroids - as the 2000 usually applies to official Atari games. So... Tech demo at version 0.10. No sound, hyperspace not working, disabled collision detection on the 3do level.

Been thinking that, if you really want to add a twist, try doing it as a 3d dig dug
-
That's always one of the problems with 3d games - getting lost sound volume based on distance might be a simple method to avoid the ghosts too. Then you could always do multi player
