  1. Thought the dyes were usually cyanide based in that time period. Accounts for the worry about fumes.
  2. Got to say this thread has changed from its original subject a bit To quickly sum up: Someone from a Venezuelan IP address made a load of deletions from the article, including all the reboot games, starting at 21.06 on the 15 March. KGRAMR then logged in at 01.46 on the 16 March and added stuff. The article was then changed multiple times over the next 3 hours by the original IP address. At 21.20 the same Venezuelan IP address started changing again until 23.46 when KGRAMR started again for the next few hours. The Martin Illia name mentioned earlier REVERTED those changes to remove the deletions at 17.38 on 12th May.
  3. It's an unfinished demo CD by MD games I believe. It's available for free download, like a lot of things that seller is offering, on http://www.mdgames.de/jag_eng.htm You will need to convert it from .jag to .abs so jiffi would be your likely choice.
  4. Good to see that you are actually trying to work these bits out but the attitude did suck a bit. You also remembered to disable the hit box to avoid a 2 into 1 space problem which is usually an oversight by people.
  5. Thanks for the comments, the zero feedback as well as the username made me suspect. Just looked at the charity auction for xenon 2 and that was the same seller so looks legit
  6. Just noticed this on eBay, bit concerned as it says it's "my back-up copy". Username looks like gaztees but with zero feedback. Thoughts? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Downfall-Atari-Jaguar-/162594072438
  7. Unfortunately yes, almost exactly a year ago at the age of 41. Information on it http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=30120
  8. I believe the chances of R-Type deluxe being finished is very small due to the death of the author a year ago. Due to the release of the source code though, as well as some people working on it, it's always possible.
  9. For the collisions... I take it you bothered checking for more than one collision at a time e.g. if you have two items that have overlapping hit boxes. If not it would explain some of the oddities seen in the last vid (when you move diagonally into two close items and only the one goes). People who have experience of these things are telling you what is wrong with the sound, and even how to fix it... The use of a different player would have made no difference. If you look at the bit patterns for 0..255 and compare with -128 to 127 you will see the issue. No more comments from me anyways, carry on with the "and?" defence.
  10. The issue there is he's cut and pasted peoples posts from a forum that apparently doesn't like anything spread outside it. People tend not to like seeing their collected posts put elsewhere. You may also mention that when he's cut out someone's name, as they don't want it revealed, you should really cut out all instances. So "that was done by xxxxxxx", shouldn't have " but Warren is 2 desks down and doesn't want to talk about his time at ocean" soon after it.
  11. You might also mention to him that he shouldn't be referring to his own posts as evidence for the missing games sections then. (Checking the assembler games thread also shows he's very fond of copying peoples posts from the js3 group btw)
  12. Perhaps you could advise him again then, he seems to have been frantically adding all the stuff back in again today.
  13. Just looked at history and he's deleted reboot port from the Xenon 2 entry just now
  14. That's the IP address that's displayed in Wikipedia history, I just did a lookup and saw that the host for the ip range was Venezuela.
  15. That's the name of the person who reverted those edits. If you read the comment at the top it tells you what the edit was to do.
  16. Well if you look at the IP address that did the big delete on 15th March, 190.77.152.189, it ends up in Venezuela.
  17. You haven't, a certain kgramr has been putting them in - including things like mandela effect, beez 64 etc. You can see how many edits he's made here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Atari_Jaguar_games&action=history All the reboot ones had been deleted too
  18. While looking around wikipedia I couldn't help but notice that a previous member here seems to be rewriting history somewhat when it comes to Jaguar games. It's especially interesting as I see he's been adding in games from wave 1 games (who hes part of) and also adding in stuff that has been shown to be, let's just say, of a dubious origin (you can see in his references that almost all go to the same site). E.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Atari_Jaguar_games&diff=780058634&oldid=780055677 Some have been reverted by people but I lack the expert knowledge to correct the entries. So if anyone fancies a challenge.
  19. I heard that the fumeshooms in plants vs zombies were based on the Jaguar, but I might have been asleep when that happened.
  20. It's currently 20 for the CD version, not sure what his carts are.
  21. What I'd think could be a simple setup would be random placement of sugar cubes in the middle of the screen. If a randomly moving ant collides with it then change graphic and start them moving to either left or right side horizontally only. If finger hits then revert to sugar only at that point. No real ant logic would be required at that time so should make it easier. Later down the line I'd probably suggest different coloured ants with an acidity factor that would cause finger to swell if too many hit in a row etc. This is all just blue sky thinking of course.
  22. Could I suggest another option be having sugar lumps that the ants are trying to steal.
  23. And the initials CJ are just JC backwards.... Just saying
