Hmm, another Namco stick out there.
Crimefighter replied to NightSprinter's topic in Dedicated Systems
Guys this is the 4th Edition Pac-man stick. It's been out on the market for a year. http://www.jakkstvgames.com/arcadegold.html -
Fable-like Game for GameCube?
Crimefighter replied to vdub_bobby's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Well in layman's terms, Fable plays a lot like Diablo II. Similiar game engine and gameplay mechanics. -
Why no Donkey Kong 3 for consoles?
Crimefighter replied to Rik's topic in Classic Console Discussion
DK3 was one of the two games I got when I bought an NES. I dunno why people hate this game so much. It's about the same reasoning as hating Star Fox Adventures because it was a "Zelda 64-like" game and not a rail shooter. -
If it plays like Quake...you should be able to strafe...but they didn't put that in which was silly.
-
I've played the NES version for the longest time just shooting the ape up the poles...how tough is it to kill off all the bugs every board?
-
That's the correct game...

How rare is Track and Field with the controller?
Crimefighter replied to ComputerSpaceFan's topic in Atari 2600
It basically functions as left, right and fire on a joystick correct? -
Heartland Pinball & Arcade Supershow Sept. 19-20, 2008
Crimefighter replied to Crimefighter's topic in Events
Okay folks, the 4th annual Heartland show is in the books...this year there were over 90 pinball machines but shockingly only two video game machines! It was worth the trip, they had the new Batman pinball by Stern there as the new attraction, also a specially designed video pinball unit, a computer with two flat panel monitors rigged in a pinball casing by Future Pinball. -
Manhunt - What was the big deal?
Crimefighter replied to Random Terrain's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Basically the big deal was the grizzly ways you went to murder opponents, the more sadistic, the better. Manhunt 2 was TOO graphic and grizzly which forced them to censor enough to get an M rating instead of an AO. -
Viewtiful Joe on the GC is absolutely brilliant...

Gamespot is selling used copies for three bucks right now. I didn't have it so I got it. Will get VJ2 eventually. -

Man no buzz on this at all? Is anyone going besides me? -
I wondered why there wasn't much buzz about the Southern IL Pinball and Arcade Show when I posted about it...it's not on the events list!

What Is Twin Galaxies Position On The Jr. Pacman Speed Up Chip?
Crimefighter replied to opeygon's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Ms. Pac-Man with the speed up chip is called Turbo mode. Walter Day ran a turbo Ms. Pac tourney at MGC in 2004 which I won. -
What Is Twin Galaxies Position On The Jr. Pacman Speed Up Chip?
Crimefighter replied to opeygon's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Gee I wonder why Ms. Pac-man has scores accepted with its speed up chip? Actually board 7 is still hard to clear even with the speed up due to the squares in the corners. -
*sigh* I would like to announce that the Aladdin's Castle at White Oaks Mall in Springfield, IL closed down August 6th after being in operation for the entire existance of the mall at 31 years. Bleh. By the way, Springfield is the home of Urban Hermits and really dull people. This contributes more to that.

Heartland Pinball & Arcade Supershow Sept. 19-20, 2008
Crimefighter replied to Crimefighter's topic in Events
Well this thing is approaching...anyone plan to go to this? I may be stuck going Friday only to make a mad dash back home Saturday afternoon for other committments. Game list thus far -- what they need a bit more of is arcade games...there's been a 80-20% spread between pins and arcades every year or so. http://supershow.popbumper.com/gamelist.html -
I've cleared the first round of Bagman, Super Bagman...no. I get four of the five screens cleared then the trouble starts with the fifth screen cause of that elevator and you have to waste a lotta time crossing back if you get killed. Using the gun makes things worse cause they start shooting back.
-
Have you playtested them to see if they differ from the released version?
-
The difference is half the elevator platforms are gone. There is a version of Crazy Kong out there where the levels are modified a lot further, the gilders stage has a stairway from the third to fourth floor.

Would this game be GORF?
