You'd almost think that the precautions against covid19 also help against every other infectious disease.

Kind of like that old PC programming book I had back in the 90's (That was old in the 90s!) where it recommended programmers to use text mode because "most PCs don't support graphics."

I'd say it makes it "worse" given that it helps explain why the overall death rates in areas of covid infection are much higher than yearly norms and why people much younger than the national averages are having strokes/etc this year.  It explains why there are so many asymptomatic people as well if respiratory infection is just a side effect as the virus attempts to get inside.

On the plus side, it gives the doctors more ideas for what types of drugs may be effective against it.

I don't know about -best- but I know I enjoyed it a lot both back in the day and recently.  I ended up buying the complete collection on DVD a few years back when HMV was still a thing in Canada.

For me their decision to remove it comes too late. It's something that shouldn't have even been an idea in their head to begin with. One source in the company said "Oh that's a mistake, it was suppose to be optional." but I just hear "Oh shit we got caught. Let's spin it to avoid the negative PR!"

If it was really a mistake, I don't see how Doom 3's verification ended up being for EVERY TIME you play the game to enable the entire game. So .. optional if you don't want the full game you paid for.

This would have been an impulse type buy for me anyway, so I'm not going to be missing it. Plenty of other games to play!

They did miss out. What they don't understand is sometimes that's a GOOD thing.

Given Apple's tendency to keep tight control over the tech you buy from them, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the panic is caused by your third party ram. After all, how would they get you to spend an extra 300 bucks on their ram if they let any old ram work?

DZ-Jay: If it was just pig-tails and schoolgirl uniforms, there'd be hundreds of shows to choose from instead of going back to something made in the 90's.

If my tolerance for 40-50 episode series hadn't dropped I'm sure I'd still be watching it myself now and then. I've been collecting them all on DVD as they come out regardless just in case though.

technically still have a vhs although I haven't plugged it in on years. Probably got 20-30 tapes in a box still. I think.

If you aren't sure you work properly you should have filed a complaint with the manufacturers while you were still under warranty. Doubt there's anything you can do now!

For some of us, the only "challenge" part to that is how fast we can get it done.

Thanks. Sounds like what I saw recently in town is about in the low to middle of the general range then. If it's still there next month i'll probably pick it up.

I can just see the reactions of some people to see the woodgrain look is going to cost 100 more, given for some that's the main thing they liked about the ataribox's early promo pics.

There's also an issue of how many Han Solo fans there really are that'll go to the theater to see it. I kinda want to see the movie myself, but I can easily wait for the dvd.

I plan on picking them up when I see them (price pending - not paying full AAA price for them when I have original copies still.)

You may be out of luck then, as I'm pretty sure this will be kickstarter-only. Due to the costs involved selling it at retail would simply cost too much due to all the extra middlemen expecting a hefty cut. Jasco's done several boardgames like this in the past though so they know what needs to be done at this point.

I've got til the end of the month to decide myself (When tax refunds should materialize.) The kickstarter ends may 5th so should be plenty of time to learn how kickstarter even works. XD

I can already see some people getting two sets of the game to resell the miniatures from their second set on ebay/amazon. XD
