    You can't even watch a fucking AVI file on your xbox without being logged in. Our ADSL and NBN have been so poor they disconnect when it rains. This means we literally get locked out of our own devices. Fuck modern technology. Seriously. Fuck this.

      Nintedo had better hope I never have to get a new console if this is how their policy is. If I lose all the digital purchases due to a faulty system, the result is Nintendo loses all future purchases ever.

       

      I will point out I've never had anything beyond a NES die on me - and that's always because of the pins bending on the connector of the sideloaders.

    Have you noticed that the presence of humans seems to keep things from deteriorating as fast? For example, if you live in a house for 20 years without doing any maintenance, it will usually be in better shape than if it was abandoned for those 20 years. I wonder if humans give off a vibration that slows down the deterioration of things?

      I suspect humans just keep the temperature better regulated and do some maintenance even without realizing it. Unless you're really not going to sweep the floor for a couple decades.
