  1. Happy 20th anniversary Pokemon!

  2. I dunno... I like getting a high score but sometimes reaching the end or getting your closest to the end is more rewarding than a number. So I went with get to the end, but it was a close call.
  3. From what I have seen HDMI is absolutely a step up from RGB for the N64. I will hopefully get one of these eventually
  4. Well it depends. Are you using a price guide of some sort? Rarity (i.e. AtariAge ratings guide) refers to overall rarity and not necessarily high/low price. Price guides specify cart only or complete in box. Congrats on finding a heavy sixer, that's a bit rare itself . Hope this helps
  5. Thanks so much Anthony! I like how your top 10 covers many different genres. Its interesting to see how people have such diverse favorites, as many of these I don't usually see in people's top 10s. It speaks volumes to the greatness of the Neo Geo library .
  6. It's been said here, but what annoys me most is BAD PICTURES . Stock photos are basically lies if it isn't explicitly stated, and only having one photo in your listing of an item taken from the best angle is unacceptable. Sometimes the stock photo is of the item sealed to look cool in a search, but is really cartridge/disk only. The thing about eBay is that as much as we all hate it, it's one of the only places to get many gaming items at a fair price, so no matter what we still have to live with it... In fact I bought something there today :/.
  7. Hi everyone! I've been a bit quiet around here recently. Why? Because I've been stalking a particular MVS cab eBay auction for awhile and I didn't want to mention it... someone could see it you know . Well the final day rolled around today........ and I won! If all goes well soon I will be the proud owner of a 4 slot big red MVS cab . So today I have a question. I'm sure something like this was covered in the last 100 pages of this thread, but I'm to lazy to look : what are your favorite Neo Geo games? Since the system offers such a wide range of games (and variations of games in genres like fighters), everyone has their own personal favorites. I think would be cool if everyone could list their top three fighters, favorite shoot em' up / run n' gun, favorite puzzle game, and favorite other non-fighter. Thanks in advance for anyone who answers and I can't wait to get gaming !
  8. I hate it when people don't know how to properly pack a game. An eBay seller once sent me a SNES packed with scotch tape and shopping bags. No one deserves to open a box and find the item that they were waiting for damaged. I hope this all gets resolved and fixed!
  9. It's very expensive, but in comparison to the price of component cables, that puts it in perspective.
  10. Haha yea definitely. It's crazy how much it's worth now, all due to homebrews.
  11. Made a big mistake by posting here after staying up till 1:30 AM. Pissed another member off and now I feel really bad about it. Trying to fix it now.

You need to get the BANhammer!

    2. icemanxp300

I know how to fix this. Sell it to me low and I will take all the hate for selling it high :)

AtariAge is like Gremlins. Don't feed it after 1:30AM.

  12. Bump! Added Warlords (2600). I ended up with two copies, time to sell one!
  13. This should indeed be functional, provided you use the headphone jack on the front of the Genesis. However, to simplify it I recommend getting a Genesis SCART cable with a headphone jack built in like this: https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/sega-mega-drive-1-sega-genesis-1-stereo-rgb-av-scart-cable-tv-lead. You must use the headphone jack on a model one because the model ones output mono from the mini din in the back but stereo from the headphone jack. If you do this in order to get audio from the SCART to component adapter attach a composite box before the component adapter like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Pin-Scart-Plug-To-Scart-Jack-And-3-RCA-Jacks-And-1-Mini-4-Pin-Jack-W-Switch/161897851201?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35558%26meid%3De24e67b2fd5a4131b5f890db2304a536%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D191507165622, and then plug the component adapter into the composite adapter output (you will need a gender adapter whether you choose this method or not; the input on the adapter you linked to is male). Obviously, ignore the composite & SVideo jacks and utilize the audio RCA jacks on the composite box. This will make your setup fully compatible with any system, as most do not have separate audio output without modification and you will be left without sound from those systems. The chain looks like this: Genesis model 1 -> SCART Cable with headphone lead -> SCART to composite adapter -> Gender adapter -> SCART to component adapter V V Red and white RCA cables Red, blue, & green component cables V V --------------------------------V---------------------------- Your TV Oh and an example of a gender adapter you place in between the composite and component adapters, or after the genesis SCART cable and before the component adapter in the setup you proposed (female to female): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scart-female-to-female-F-F-gender-change-connector-lot-/141874438626?var=&hash=item21086021e2:m:mVtTuWbNkNWgI0GCxF3zJoQ Hope this helps! 14. You can! There is now a GCN HDMI mod!!! Here purchase, reviews, and installation services are avalible: http://www.videogameperfection.com/2015/11/16/hdmi-lands-gamecube/
  15. I'm not sure what you mean by a strait through connector. As I've seen it scart to components adapters are about 40-50 dollars, plus you need a scart to composite adapter for audio, but that's under 5 dollars so it's not a big deal. Hope this helps!
  16. But it's worth it! It's not a convince mod, RGB output is the real deal. I can't even live with RF anymore lol. It's just so bad... Once you see how much cleaner and more colorful RGB output is, you can never go back to plug n playing composite or RF. Also BTW for your TG-16, I don't believe you even need to get it modded. A website offers an RGB turbo booster that attaches to the expansion port of the system instead of a normal composite turbo booster. Check out the TG-16 page on retrorgb.com.
  17. ...or just get your systems modded for RGB, or at least composite. Every major RF only system (i.e. 2600, INTV, Colecovision) supports an RGB mod except the 5200 and 7800 which both have composite and SVideo mods.
  18. Try southtown-homebrew.com. They offer blank MVS shock boxes with an art insert slot, as well as many variations of said inserts for tons of games! Hope this helped
  19. This is a great video for beginners. Simply made but is very informative!
  20. Well I guess if you think of it that way...
