Exactly when did arcades die in the USA?
Q*bertkid replied to Flojomojo's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The last time I remember seeing a long line to play a game was in 1988, Double Dragon. But I went to Dave and Busters not long ago and played a Star Wars Battle Pod game and it was pretty sweet!!!!! http://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=hlZa7mpT&id=1EECA480A05BAA9185D8C666811AE6D97695F405&q=star+wars+falcon+game+dave+busters&simid=608037250212169567&selectedIndex=15&ajaxhist=0 -

How about a cart converter that lets you play Colecovision games on a Sega Master System -

I agree if its going to be a whole new system why not a MAME system where you could put MAME Roms on a cart and play them on a home system, something that hasn't been done before. I just don't get creating a whole new system to convert arcade and NES or Sega games to this system when it could easily be done on an existing system like the sega master or genesis or NES or SNES. I love what you do for the colecovision ED and there is nobody better but I just don't see any demand for this I hope I am wrong. -

Well I looked through the manual and didn't see any required specs for a TV. I am curious as to what TV you have.

The point is it lags, where it comes from doesn't really matter. Its not 100% accurate which is a downfall for most gamers.

The Positive NES Classic Thread

http://brickseek.com/online-stock-alerts/product/nintendo-nes-classic-edition/1/ check this website around 6am. I got one the other day at the local Target it said they had 4 and that's exactly what they had. I got there at 7:30 and they opened at 8am. -
I got one the other day at the local target, looked online at brickseek and it said they had 4 I waited for them to open and sure enough they had 4. http://brickseek.com/online-stock-alerts/product/nintendo-nes-classic-edition/1/ When using brickseek I would check around 6am I was just glad I didn't have to buy it at walmart. It was very easy to hack I put 120 games on it, the only downfall is the controller, the cord is too short and it lags a tiny bit so when you need that quick jump in SMB or that fast dodge against Tyson your not going to get it. With that said its a cool piece to have but Id rather play the real nes with an everdrive cart. http://krikzz.com/store/home/31-everdrive-n8-nes.html

Any news on when DK will be shipping out?

Got my copy of Penguin Adventure the other day, works great haven't had any issues. I am really impressed with quality of the packaging and the artwork, especially the manual. I really liked looking through "Super Game Cartridge Catalog" very enjoyable reminded me of being a kid and looking at all the game catalogs very impressive. Looking forward too all the upcoming games especially Donkey Kong and The Maze of Galious. I really enjoy seeing people push the limits of the Colecovision, maybe one day we might even see some NES classics like The Legend of Zelda , Metroid, Double Dragon, Tetris and of course Super Mario Bros. That Castlevania mock-up was very impressive as well, thanks for all your efforts.

ColecoVision Donkey Kong - 16K and 24K Versions

I have been playing both versions of this game for about a week now, I have 5 copies of each and have tested this on all 5. One thing I noticed on the 24k version, is once you get the 4th fireball on the rivet stage Mario gets slower but only for this stage. He moves up and down the ladders like a turtle. But once you clear the stage and continue to the next level he is back to normal.

ColecoVision Donkey Kong - 16K and 24K Versions
Q*bertkid replied to ColecoFan1981's topic in Hardware
You can play them and use the ladder trick on the first level or you can open them up the 24k has 3 chips and the 16k has 2 chips or you can look at the board sticking out of the cart look for a hole in the gap between the connectors all of my 16k carts have this hole. -

Ok I can work on it later this week

No not yet I was thinking of doing a pause mod to the system itself then the select button could pause the game and using a jumper wire to connect start and button 1 basically making them the same button.

Thanks Pboland you are the man, and thanks to Kamshaft for recommending him. I found some black aftermarket usb controllers to rob for the case and ordered some custom Kitsch buttons it works great and looks awesome too. If anybody wants to build one I can post a how too let me know. ">http://

Watch the video at the 4:30 mark, I can see why you would want to play PAL at 60hz https://youtu.be/Hr4TkPN-ViY

Am I the only one who likes the 2600 version better than the colecovision version of this game?
