  1. Everyone thinks she is guilty...but as her attorney, I must DEFENDER to the best of my ability. I thought I told you to PAC....MAN are you lazy! And this one I saw on National Lampoons Vacation: Rusty - "you got pac man?" Eddies son - "nah" Rusty - "you got space invaders?" Eddies son - "nah" Rusty - "you got asteroisds?" Eddies son - "nah, but my dad does...cant even sit on the toilet some days"
  2. I've always loved Planet Patrol. I also really like Congo Bongo, Gorf and Slot Racer. And....heres the embarrassing one....I am a closet Airlock addict! Wow...it helped to get that out in the open.
  3. I never had a 5200 or 7800, so I have no nostalgic feeling for them. My video game console history is: 1. Atari 2600 2. NES 3. Turbografix (I know....don't say it) 4. Sega Genesis 5. Playstation 6. GameCube Its not that I dont think The others are any good, its just that they are not part of my world.
  4. 635 Ill be having nightmares about this one for a while. I swear to god tonight at one point I missed at least 10 shots in a row at a full group...I didnt think that was possible....hey! I just invented a mini game! How many shots can you take without hitting anything!

    2600 Ads on G4?

yeah...from what I saw in the few minutes I caught, the quality was very VHS like, lots of wavyness. If I remember correctly I saw: 1. One of the Atari Christmas ads 2. The one showing Breakout, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Pac Man ..and then showing the competitors screen with nothing but interference. 3. A ET 2600 Demo 4. Colecovision ad showing the 2600 adaptor 5. 5200 ad showing that 5200 carts dont fit coleco.
  6. I flipped on G4 today and caught the last 5 minutes of "Cinematech" and it was featuring some great old 2600 and Colecovision ads! Did anyone catch this episode? And if so, did the entire show feature these? If it did, I gotta tape it. I love those old ads!
  7. 3800 I wish i could resist jumping into the tank, I just seem to get shot, pop out and get my man shot. I suck.
  8. The arcade version has that nice arcade feel to it, which for me makes it pretty addictive. The problem with the arcade version is that it starts out really easy, and by level 4 or so its ridiculously hard (I realize that this is done on purpose to collect more quarters.) The 2600 version, although the game play is less fluid, and the graphics are obviously simplified, is more fun to me because the gameplay is true to the arcade (with the exception of the floating eggs, which I agree is cool). Also being able to get deeper into the game helps the fun factor on this one too. Although most people will not agree with this, I feel the same way about Defender. Other games I think may be close to or better than in the arcade: Space Invaders BattleZone Frogger
  9. the end of Frankenstiens Monster is pretty cool

    1973 End of an Odyssey

bravo! cant wait for your take on Pong! Now you're getting into Games I'll remember. Great info so far! Thanks
  11. well...first...the system looked great on tv, and seems to be selling like hotcakes, but I was hoping to see some caverns of mars or lunar lander or pong footage. from watching it i saw asteroids deluxe (looked great!), missle command, pittfall, river raid, centipede and millepede. Other than the dissapointment of not seeing any of the new titles, and that annoying hyper dude with the santa hat, I thought the presentation was good.

  14. When I was a kid David Crane and Steve Cartwright were like gods to me. Activision did a nice job of paying homage to the programmers. I think I even remember photos of them in many of the manuals.
  15. 1496 I rarely say this....but I hate this game.....sorry
  16. 1240 this game has the fastest incoming laser blasts of any space shooter ive played.

Ive never played that one....Im sure Im forgetting a few also...seems like one of the nintendo baseball games had em too.
  19. hilarious! those are great. I love to play sims...I am currently playing sims busin out for gamecube. I like to go into buy/build mode and create the worst house I can,,,,outside t.v.s, bathrooms with ovens....that kind of stuff. Anyway, funny screenshots!
  20. Planet Patrol is my favorite from them. I was blown away as a kid by the night time level where your shots light up the sky and reveal your otherwise invisible enimies...brilliant. I also hve recently discovered Crossfire...lots of fun.
  21. 2400. This is frustrating to control with a mouse on the emu....are the controls that slippery with real paddles?
  22. This was one of the last 2600 games i bought as a kid..1986..it was in the bargain bin at our Meijers. $5.00. It became suprisingly addictive. Also, there are enough variations to provide a challenge even for experts. I thought I heard somewhere that it was supposed to be a part of "circus atari" but one wasnt finished so they became seperate games...does anyone know if thats true?
  23. i used to love the slickstick...plus i think it didnt cost much back in the day
  24. 48056.....my new best ever on this one. What a fun game this is. now if i could just kill the damn insects in my lawn!
