  1. Not sure.. Dad says guy told him he bought it in a lot... tried selling him a bunch on Intellivision stuff too.. seemed like a nice guy...
  2. Well picked it up. Dad says it looks legit!!
  3. Lol... but cheating doesnt count as this is a gift for the wife.. and had dad pick it up were he works 12 hours away...Find stuff in the wild is the best though.. for example.. had someone throw in a copy of Jurasic Park Operation Genesis and a bag full of other games for free to go along with xbox for $20.
  4. I have a family member picking up a copy of Chase the Chuckwagon off of Craigslist for me. The game is only $40. Is there something my family member can look for on the cartridge to make sure its not a fake when they meet with the seller?? Attached are the images from craigslist...
  5. Answered my own question.. did some reading at it seems that after rev 16 Atari put a 820 ohm res. between legs 6 and 9 of the Tia chip to improve color. Tried it my self and greatly improved the color of my rev 14 board.
  6. I've done homemade av mods to 4 systems.. 2 woodies.. a darth vader and a jr. The juniors color is so much more vibrant and bright then the 4 switch models.. is this just by chance or is there a reason for this.. and even better question is there a way to make the 4 switch output more like the jr. Ive already tried adjusting the pot.. that simply changes color.. doesn't effect saturation or brightness..
  7. FIXED!! Replaced crystal got black and white video.. replaced TIA Chip.. got color!!
  8. Yeah they must be flawed design. Tried alcohol and q-tip... tried buffing with magic eraser... tried lightly sanding contacts... even tried re soldering all solder points inside cart. They still will not work in the 4 switch woody.. the darth vader or the junior..
  9. My wife has about 10 M Network Carts(Kool Aid Man.. ex..) None of witch will play on any of our working 3 2600 systems. Im assuming this is just by chance as I've never heard of Atari blocking certain manufactues as Mattel did to Coleco. Are these Carts just much poorer in craftsmanship ... I mean out of 90 some diffrent 2600 carts all the ones that dont work are the M Network carts??
  10. Ive got a 4 switch Atari 2600 woody that refuses to show any signs of life. I've swapped all 3 chips, ive checked voltages at the power jack.. the transistor and the rf modulator. I even did an AV mod (done several from scratch) and still have nothing. No video or audio signal of any kind. I've done several av mods on systems that my wife has had from childhood.. beat up and rusted but still work great. She got me this one as a surprise as it looks brand new but is dead. Any help would be appreciated... thanks!!
  11. Couldnt ask for a better person to do business with! I had a xmas emergency and he came through super quick and super reasonable!! Wouldnt think twice about doing business with him again!
  12. I just bought a 7800 for my wife and its really tight.. feel like im going to break the poor thing trying to pull cart back out. Does anyone have a pic of a modified slot I can use for refrence...
  13. Awesome... Thanks. Let me know!!
  14. So my wife loves Atari and has quite the collection. She has a Woody.. a Darth Vader and a JR. All of which I've made my own AV board and modded all three. She's been looking for a 5200 or a 7800 for a few years now so for Xmas I decided to get her a 7800 (she already has several game for it). I ordered it from California shipped UPS. Well it came in with the top part of the case broken in about 12 pieces. Ive tested the unit and it still works.. but UPS will not cover it wasn't insured. So does anyone out there have a good top case piece they would be willing to sell that I could get in time for Xmas??? Thanks for reading!!
