  1. I think it's toast, and I am kinda pissed about it. But, I wouldn't mind slapping a RPi in there..if the keyboard will work with it. It is beyond my realm of knowledge though. Maybe there is a youtube tutorial? 🤣 😂 damn it.
  2. I bought a C64 MAXI when they first came out. Used it probably 10 times, all worked great. I tried it the other day, and it won't power on. I tried several different USB power supplies, and different cords, I tried powering it thru the USB port with a powered USB hub. NOTHING. I opened it up today, the leads running to the red LED power light were touching, bare metal sections of the Red and Black leads were touching. I assume that shorted something out and it is now a plastic pile of crap. I googled it, did not find much of any info regarding a C64 MAXI not powering on. Maybe I am missing something, MAYBE there is still hope.....anyone have any ideas of what I can do with this thing to force it to work (I am thinking about smashing it with a 20lbs sledge hammer, just to see it explode) can I use the keyboard with a raspberry pi running VICE? That would be cool.... Any ideas?
  3. @OLD CS1 rocks. Very cool.
  4. What the hell is going on? @RXB you are a genius and @senior_falcon you are a genius, if you two idiots would get together there would be the definitive version of Extended Basic for the TI ever invented, EVER! How this got on to John Wayne and whatever..wow. @Retrospectdude, your games you make, in such a short time in between is nothing except amazing, You rock, Sir. Thats all I have to say. Peace.

  7. Syracuse NY was 43f this morning and raining...now it's 9f and windy (50 mph gusts) and snowing and everything is covered in ice...
  8. "From the start date to the end, participation is not optional. I will make exceptions for life threatening conditions (Hospital stays, funerals etc) but absent that, no exceptions will be allowed. You have been warned." Very welcoming to new players. Good luck with your HSC.
  9. Don't worry @rensoup Most of us respect your work and your passion for what you do. Most of us. Thank you sir.
  10. Your flawed logic is the same as his. I just stated my opinion and if I recall, I was not talking with you when I did. If @rensoup tells me to shut up about it, I will respect his decision. That's the thing...respect.
  11. I read it. Whats your point? I saw no apology. And why are you defending a thief?
  12. @nowy80 What you seem to disregard is, you are profiting from another persons work. @rensoup made this out of the love of programming, love of the hobby and because he could. He did it for himself, for us to enjoy (for free) and out of passion. You are stealing it, profiting off of someone else's labor of love and you see nothing wrong with that? The only thing I see from you is excuses of how you think it's ok, how you think you are doing nothing wrong. Everyone here is telling you why you are wrong and you don't care. I see a scumbag, a thief. If you can't see that, there is something wrong with your morals. I hope your ebay store gets reported and taken down. You sell stolen property. Regards.
  13. The biggest annoyance to me was the lack of Sprites with TI BASIC. Back then the Extended Basic cart was simply too expensive for a 14 year old kid. My Dad bought me the computer for $49.99 and I was lucky and happy to have that. So all I could do was dream about the mystical magical Sprites and drool over the possibilities that I read about in magazines. Plus, (not TI's fault in any way) NONE of my friends had TI's. They had Atari 800's or Commodore 64's. I was alone in my struggle. By the time I found another TI'er, I was well into High School and had other interests. My TI-99/4a sat, neglected and forgotten about for the next few decades. Until I discovered AtariAge!
  14. RIP Nukey. I never talked with you, but I have read a lot of your posts over the years and I will miss your sense of humor. Thank you for all of your contributions to this fine community.
