hi bud,
just wondered if you had anyone of these consoles coming up for sale soon?
-
controllers aside the system is awesome and wish i had one in my collection.
-
DC output voltage is the same, and so is amperage and polarity. In theory - I see no reason why this A/C adapter wouldn't work.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm back in the US End of April so will be in touch just before - also hoping to pick up a snes at the same time to bring home.

OK thanks Thomas, my understanding was that the colours would be different but I'll take your word for it

I have found the same issue with the colours

Mine arrived today to the UK

Roll on home time so can test it out. Very impressed with the quality of the cart itself.

vintage for me, i haven't switched my PS4 on since i got my 2600 for christmas and since then been buying carts every week, picked up a 7800 last weekend and also just had my dispatched email for the harmony. Just really enjoying retro over current at the moment

Wow...really nice system! Cool that it still has the protective film over the silver strip.
i can't find a single mark on it - well chuffed for the age of the system.

Congrats on getting a 7800 console. I'm a new owner as well and the members here will definitely have great advice for you to get you started.

If it's a PAL console I'm guessing it came with the CX-78 controllers (which are much better than the American released controllers). You may also want to pick a joystick controller- Atari 2600 controllers work in the 7800 console. For Ms. Pac-Man and games of that nature, you'll want the precision that a joystick provides.
Since you're coming to the USA here's a list of NTSC games that work on PAL consoles, it's useful to read- http://atariage.com/forums/topic/65424-ntsc-games-that-work-on-pal-machines/
Hopes that helps!
Thanks for the information - yes it comes with the controllers than the joystick the US version got - my atari 2600 joysticks are OK but hoping to replace them also at some point
will check the link out, much appreciated

Congratulations on getting an Atari 7800!! Now you need to pick up some great homebrews here. Bob DeCrescenzo (PacManPlus on here) has made some amazing homebrews. K.C. Munchkin, Pac-Man Collection, Frenzy, Jr. Pac-Man, Astro Blaster, and Moon Cresta to name a few. And many of the original games are great and affordable. Especially the arcade ports. Don't forget you can play the 2600 library as well. With the exception of a few games, depending the motherboard revision. It is Robot Tank, Decathlon, and Kool-Aid Man. The earlier manufactured consoles from 1984-1987 will play them. After 1987 won't. I hope you enjoy the 7800. It is a great system and one of the most underrated and underappreciated.
thanks for the info - do you know if they the carts are region locked. being in the UK its a PAL unit - but I'm off to the states in April so was hoping to pick some carts up for the 2600 and 7800
-
computer was a specturn +2 - console with years before which was a Vectrex
-
So finally after looking for a half decent 7800 in my local area i stumbled across one which I'm due to pick up tomorrow.
Anything i should look out for?
