Dust covers for Commodore 1702 monitors
marlon.schmitt replied to Bill Lange's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
To Bill Lange: I checked Amazon.com and they do sell the dust covers you have a link for, but not the 15" variety anymore, possibly because people want larger monitors now. Amazon.com won't sell them to me because I live in Canada. I found the 15" kind on computerdust, com, along with 17" and 19"-21". I don't see how the 15" could fit your Commodore 1702 monitors, because the 1702 is 14.5"W x 13"H x 16"D, and the 1084S monitor is 14"W x 13.5"H x 15"D, while the 15" dust cover is only 13"D, and listed as 11/15"H, and I don't know what that means. They are translucent dust covers, which means they are 50% transparent, so sunlight would yellow the monitor frame and would shine on the monitor screen, which for some reason is not very good. I would appreciate a reply from anybody, so don't be hesitant to post. Thank you.
