  2. Thanks for the explanation, Glenn. I suppose I can understand your motivation, but you are sure leaving a really big gap here. I will miss you. :) (maybe you can occasionally show up here again?)

Regarding DD, I already gave you my answer in a private message. I really hope you will either be able to tie up that loose end or eventually to get over it. :P

BTW: Regarding the AtariVox, I wouldn't worry. The shop will sure reopen soon.

  3. 90% of the stuff is try-before-buy, so people only buy what they like.

And most people are only motivated to write a review, when they really hated/loved something.

So basically AA store customers buy just the games they like and then rate them accordingly :)

Another reason is, that if you buy something because you think it is worth it, you are automatically positively biased. Else you would have to criticize your own decision.

If you buy something to test it, this bias is eliminated.

  4. Currently, even though you are much more honest with your points than others, you still have a lot of 5 point games. Many more than one would expect from a standard bell-shaped curve.

When pride is the main motivation instead of profit you tend to get better results.

    That's true.

But I suppose even Nathan is not completely objective and he tends to give higher points too (if you look at the store reviews, there are hardly any reviews with less than 4 points, except for Nathans), just because there are so many other 5 point games and 4 points if quite a step. With 0.5 points steps, he might find it easier to give a game not a 100% rating.

  5. So you going with 1-5? That's not 10 but only 9 values! But I suppose Al wouldn't like 0.5 points, even for a stinker. :D

Currently, even though you are much more honest with your points than others, you still have a lot of 5 point games. Many more than one would expect from a standard bell-shaped curve. So what a are you going to do? Checking for a 0.5 point reduction?

  6. Cool, I could eventually stop by and say hello then. Your home isn't per chance big enough to host 2-3 people for a night? :lust: ;)

1 or 2 would work if you don't expect much comfort. But I have to clean it first. Lazy me! ;)

Would you like to go to the show as well? It should be pretty cool. Last time we even spotted members from Die Toten Hosen in the audience.

No thanks, that's absolutely not my kind of music (written while listening to In the Air Tonight, Phil Collins and Synchronicity II, The Police). ;)
