Not yet. But I removed a check at the beginning. Now it boots to the 1st screen. GameLine (hack).bin
-
I suppose it was at the annual Vohwinkel flea market, right?
-
We would have to dump it to find out. Oliver Achten lives in Duisburg, he could dump it.
-
True, didn't notice that. So the colors were hacked too.
-
Did it rain?
-
Those colors match the ones of the already dumped game when played on a PAL system. I suppose only the frame rate was adjusted and the company name got removed. Typical pirate job back then.
-
Now I wonder which flea market you might have visited.
-
I knew I remembered the name from somewhere. I have posted on Planet-Atari a few times too (as thrust26). And if your geo tagging is correct, I live just around the corner.
-
If they vouch for you then I suppose it's ok. But with CPUWIZ having the other ROM of this game and this thread, it was natural to make a link.
-
With just 15 posts, we better make sure that this is all legit. And that CPUWIZ is not behind it.
-
I could be completely wrong, but I vaguely remember that the logo was added to the screenshot by CPUWIZ(?) as a joke. EDIT: Just found the old thread: Datatech is the correct logo and CPUWIZ changed it into Men-A-Vision for a joke. Since the logo is missing here, I suppose this is a so called "pirate" cart.

Not new, but extremely rare. http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?MENU=2&VERSION_ID=15501

This could be part of an extension which has not been discussed in detail yet. With the help of an external application, one could (automatically) categorize the games (e.g. based on their filenames). The various possible categorizations could be written into a library file on the SD cart and then used by the flash driver and menu for navigation. Then the functionality of the menu could be enhanced similar to what you described. But this will require a lot of coding on various parts of the system. E.g. the current display kernel is barely able to mark a single line. Marking a single character will require a much different kernel. So I wouldn't expect this to happen soon. For now we are still busy sorting out bugs.

The philosophy behind Harmony is, that the user should decide how he organizes his games. This could be alphabetically, by company, by year, by size, by programmer, by genre etc.pp. If you want it alphabetically with fast access, you could do that by creating subdirectories. Maybe once an application which helps you organize the cars the way you want them will be written. But for now, you have to rely on the existing tools for your OS. And there are plenty!

Reminds me at the programmers for the Flashback 2 games.

Yes. Twice. Is the 1st link related to the 2nd?

Is it still running? With the weather getting worse, I sure will find some time soon. -
Homebreviews - part 29

First! Do you have a link at hand where I can download the latest (PAL) binary to have a look at myself? -
Something odd that happened to a cartridge of mine once
Thomas Jentzsch replied to Despina83's topic in Atari 2600
Except for a very unlikely coincidence (e.g. a very special bit rot happening at the very same time), I cannot imagine anything causing this. Are you 100% sure the game behaves differently than before? -
Since we coders usually have a long, long list of unfinished or want to be done, interesting projects, it is tough to get us doing a project for someone else. The key to interest us is either a lot of money or a great concept (better than anything we already have on our list) (for me that was e.g. Boulderdash). Since programming a decend game from scratch requires hundreds of hours, the 1st is most likely way beyond what you would like to spend. And the 2nd is up to you.

I just clicked on the new Blog entries link, where I found: Homebreviews - part 29 Posted by Nathan Strum On Today, 3:22 AM But when I click on the link I get: [#10685] You are not authorised to view this page I suppose there is a bug with displaying draft/unreleased entries.

There will be a lot of minor changes (small bugfixes, logo matching the label etc.) and one major, new feature: displaying the whole filename.
