No reason to cross your fingers, the software is written for Windows, OS-X and Linux. BTW: Why do you add line breaks to your posts? The forum software will handle this for you.
-
Don't worry, this is planed to be sold a looong time.

I am not sure when exactly the fixed BIOS will be released (the flashing application was not planed to be released yet), but it will allow stopping the color cycling with the B/W switch.

How long will the Melody play on?
Thomas Jentzsch replied to RevEng's topic in Atari 2600 Programming
I don't think reading (=using) will extend the period. -
Hey, it's a 70ties console! Take your drugs and enyoy!

AFAIK Melody was designed to consist out of fewer parts than the current carts. So no, I am not afraid at all. -
I don't think it is much more sensitive than any other SD cart device. Mine is a 2GB Panasonic, because it was the cheapest avaiable.

I am sure they have been added to the store immediately. -
Homebreviews - part 28

I just had a laugh again when (re)reading the Artie comic. -
The page number shares the colors with the logo, so I can only disable color cycling for both.
-
Pictures can be found e.g. here and here
-
I'd vote "yes". The color cycling made things a bit harder to read on my old TV. No problem. Should I disable all color cycling (including the logo) with the switch?
-
You are the first one complaining. You think we should allow disabling the color cyclcing? By B/W switch maybe?
-
I think that's an old link. Try http://www.atariage.com/forums/tracker/ (or simply click Tracker at the top tab bar )

I will test the new BIOS this evening as soon as I get home (~18:00 MEST, which is GMT+2). If everything works out fine, the new BIOS should be released very soon afterwards. Meanwhile make sure that you know how to flash Harmony.

Did you delete that folder? If yes, create it again with the camera and do not delete it.
-
When you formatted with your camera, did it create a folder? What does it look like?
-
A wild guessed hint for those stuck with Yin-Yang: Try to create a folder in MS-DOS format (8.3), e.g. with a digital camera or maybe with an MP3 player. At least that worked for me today.
-
The more games you have in one directory, the longer it takes to load this directory. If you put all files into the root, the booting takes this extra time. Organize your files into directories!
-
Harmony tries to load everything. Special extensions can be used if autodetecting the bankswitching type should fail
-
BTW: I may have missed it, but was the binary released already? And if not, will it be released?

Definitive Atari 2600 resource
Thomas Jentzsch replied to grafixbmp's topic in Atari 2600 Programming
You should mention that 262 total and 192 visible scanlines are not set values. They can (and are!) changed by the programmers. NTSC TV can tolerate +/-10 to 20 total scanlines (e.g. Artillery Duel 241, Desert Falcon 281 total scanlines). And they should be able to display 200 to 210 scanlines easily. -

Ah, you meant 7.777... -

...the Harmony has a team of around 10 talented developers contributing to the project. 10? I only credited 8. -

Thanks for mentioning the slur.
