  1. The last one? The employee was likely hoping to keep it for themselves and now hates you for taking it.
  2. The Classic is an enjoyable device. Physically I like the miniaturized design of the SNES shell. The power and reset buttons from the original Super Nintendo are fully functional but the cartridge slot does not open and the eject button does nothing. Being that the games are pre-installed on the device, it makes sense not to have cartridge slot and eject button do anything. Before you can plug in the controllers you have to pull down a swing door to reveal the controller slots. I feel that not only is the swing door unnecessary, but the controller cords are too short. The console is HDMI ready and comes with a HDMi cord, but that is also too short. I would suggest attaining a longer HDMI cord on your own. When you turn on the console, the user interface is a treat. It's neatly organized and easy to navigate, and the background music is catchy. Because pixel art doesn't always look great on HDTVs, you are given various screen filters. I personally use the CRT Filter that blurs/smooths out the pixels, which makes the 2D games easier on the eyes. With 21 well-known pre-installed games from various genres, the Classic has a a lot of content to offer and whether you're a fan of racers, fighters, platformers etc, you will find something to play here. Speaking of playing, the SNES Classic gives you the ability to save games in 1 of 4 save slots and even have a rewind features on your saves, in case you need to go back in time and correct a mistake you made on your last playthrough. I believe the length of the rewind feature depends on the game. One thing I don't like is if you're playing a game and you want to save it in one of the slots or if you just want to get back to the Classic's main menu, you have to hit the reset button on the device... every time. Overall it's worth the purchase. It's got a great selection of games and its shortcomings can be overlooked since you're able to use longer hdmi cords and 3rd party controllers. Additionally, you have the option to softmod the SNES Classic to include more SNES games as well as games for other consoles including the Gameboy, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, etc. You can even softmod it so you can use a controller command to get back to the main menu instead of resorting to hitting the reset button on the device. I don't regret my purchase, and I don't think anyone else will either.
  3. I believe Mario Bros for the 7800 provides two player simultaneous action. And, if memory serves correctly, so do these games- Plutos (2 player space shooter) Centipede Basketbrawl Xenophobe Rampage Joust Double Dragon Asteroids Robotron
  4. WOW so the Centipede game has Q*bert pre-installed! I assume the Q*bert machine has Centipede pre-installed as well! That is awesome!
  5. Does anyone have the current sales figures for these titles? I can only assume they took a step back with Frogger and Asteroids because their sales numbers didn't justify using more expensive tech?

Glad to read that things are moving behind the scenes. Have you determined a price for the game?
  7. The rom for the previously unreleased prototype of Rayman, has been dumped- https://twitter.com/ocornut/status/881876378056085505 Very early build so there's not much to it, but still a great chance to play something that could've been on the Super Nintendo. The original premise of 'Rayman' was that he exists inside a computer and must face-off against a computer virus as the game's main villain.
  8. Without a doubt, Super Skweek- a fantastic puzzle game with an enormous amount of replay value. Over 200 stages with numerous power-ups that help create different strategies for completing each level's objective. The variety makes this a game I keep coming back to again and again.
  9. Really not sure how to feel about this. Fighting games is one of my favorite genres and I love that they decided to release a new one for my beloved Super Famicom/Nintendo. However, I'm not a fan of the graphical style and animation. Also, with just 6 characters to choose from it doesn't sound like a game that'll keep me entertained for very long. From what I'm seeing the English language translation is also poorly done. I wish them the best with sales but for me, this is a pass.
  10. Yikes. That Frogger does indeed look like the Excalibur tabletop that was released sometime ago, and the Q*Bert they showed in that video looks odd as well. Do they plan on re-releasing the Q*Bert game with lesser tech in the future? Why take a step back when their current Centipede and Q*Bert models are absolutely fantastic? Does this have to do with poor sales, or do they just love to experiment?

Thanks for the heads up Ninjabba!
  12. Been playing the Q*Bert today and it's great, so nice to have a mini arcade cabinet featuring the complete, full color Q*Bert game. I still wish they had kept the original arcade sound effects such as his hops and when he blurts out obscenities- those added to the charm of the original game. The substituted sound effects aren't nearly as memorable. I'm also not a fan of the game not showing your high score once it's game over. Besides those issues, it's a worthwhile purchase. Now if only a company could make tabletop pinball machines with all the bells and whistles of a modern full size pinball machine.
  13. Super Mario Kart on the SNES for me. Out of the 3 I own (including Mario Kart 64 and Double Dash for the Gamecube), the SNES original is the only game that offers me a true challenge. The 64 and Gamecube games are disappointingly too easy.
  14. No idea, wish I had the answers. I did forget to add a better look at the scoreboard though, check it out. Assuming that this page's information is correct, the manufacturer is 'American Home Entertainment' -http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=5181 Now that I think of it, there are a couple other machines I'm looking for. It might be a shot in the dark to ask about them here, but there was a larger home pinball machine by Marx Toys called 'Power Pro Pinball'- http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=6336 It was recently on eBay but without the legs or AC Adapter. The seller wouldn't answer any of my questions so I chose not to bid on it. Here's what the playfield looks like- The other machine I'm looking for is 'Super Trucker', whose information can be found here- http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=5112. They were sold by JC Penney in 1980. Below is an ad for it- 'Power Pro Pinball' and 'Super Trucker' are two very obscure home pinball machines that I'd love to try out. At the very least, I'd like to see video footage of either/both so I can gauge whether the gameplay is fun enough for me to want to purchase them. So... does anybody know a bit more about these two?
  15. I'm still very much interested in finding this, the home version of Williams 'The Getaway' pinball machine. Only pictures I could find were on Shopgoodwill but it gives you a good look at the machine- Also, for those looking for a step up to the Zizzle machines, I'd suggest looking into the 'Star Galaxy' Pinball Machine by MightyMast. From the pictures and videos I've seen of the unit, it seems they've fixed all the issues that plagued the Zizzle machines. Here's a video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXUkWjkoisI
  16. Went to multiple Wal-Marts and couldn't find a single Q*Bert. Thankfully a friend from out of town was able to snag a Q*Bert in their area for me. Looking forward to playing it once I get my hands on it. Hmmm, no interest in Frogger or Asteroids (already have the Coleco Frogger) but if they sell well I hope they continue to make these mini arcades. My hope is that they release a Pengo version as well. Wishful thinking.
  17. Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Resident Evil 2 are two of the best games on the system. Both are incredibly entertaining with solid game play and excellent replay value.
  18. I'm a huge fan of Q*Bert and this Mini Arcade version look great! I already have the Parker Bros. tabletop version as well as Tiger Electronics 'Arcade Games' version (which too resembles an arcade cabinet), so this one by Basic Fun would be awesome to get as well since it's a full color lcd screen. The only (minor) downside I've noticed is, after seeing the review by ArcadeUSA this version of Q*Bert is the NES version and as such doesn't have the authentic arcade sound effects I'm used to. But, I *suppose* I can overlook that. Does anyone know where I can get these online in the event they're unavailable at my local Walmart? Ebay sellers are already overpricing these devices so I refuse to acquire it from there.
  19. It could, your guess is as good as mine. Still on the hunt for more information on this item guys (and girls). Anyone know more about this?

Thank you so much for the update, I appreciate the response. Since you're unable to provide a demo, I'll let that slide if you sign my copy of the game, Lol.

Happy New Year Everyone! Dragonstomper, any updates on this title? This thread has been quiet for a little while. Any chance of providing a demo to play for those waiting on the full release?

This looks like an awesome project and I wanna wish Ninjabba nothing but success in getting this fully done and into the hands of Atari Lynx fans. I just recently acquired this console and in looking up games to acquire, this is definitely one I'm keeping my eyes on. When you start taking pre-orders, kindly put me down for a physical copy.
  23. Since no one's mentioned it yet, the awesome space shooter 'Plutos' is recommended side by side/co-op 2 player game.
  24. Looking at the poll I thought it was to determine the preferred cart version of Toki to release into the wild. In which case, the NTSC is the preferred choice.
  25. Looking good. I would want a NTSC cart as well. By the way, being that this is a complete beta does that mean it has an ending after the final boss is defeated? Looks like the NTSC version is winning the polls by a HUGE margin.
