I prefer the good old difficulty switch on the console, nice and smile, less steps to get game.
-
Doubtful, says "standard joystick and paddles" are the only controllers supported.

Really? See I have a Retro Duo Portable, and the only problem I have is how hard it is to get the NES games out of that big adapter, they go in that thing pretty far. Maybe, but I have no way of testing now, that thing was given away long ago.

As an older gent who remembers how the Nintendo 64 cartridges originally fit, I can say that's just originally how it was. My cousins had one, one game, Pokemon Stadium I think it was, that one was always super tight. We had to have one person hold the console while the other pulled to get it out when we wanted to play something else. Took forever till we got it so we could pull it out with one hand.

Hehe, you're welcome.

WHACK! Oh, I'm a wizard now. WHACK! Skeleton? WHACK! I grew skin and became a zombie...for some reason WHACK! Oh I'm dead.

Great work! Love the creative stuff here.

Original VCS (or Odyssey) players? (research project)

Feel free to stick around after the project too. -
Ooh! A pack in game! But no one will make much money on it, and might never get played... what's Randy Crihfield up to?

Okay, let me just say that does NOT look like a corporate contract to me. Sure it's a contract, but it's not nearly detailed enough for what I have seen other companies use.

Which is funny, cause I think it was in The Rise and Fall of Atari that Nolan Bushnell said it was released during the Consumer Electronics Show in 1977, which was the first week in January of that year.
-
Yeah, I find it pretty suspect too, especially since we don't have a solid release date for like ANY of the games.

Remind me what A26 is please.

Shut up and take my money!

Maybe a Tron Blue one to match my Mattel joystick.
-
True, but all the main ones(of whom I mean, Atari, Activision, Imagic, 20th Century Fox, Coleco, Parker Brothers, and maybe Data Age) are pretty much identical, at the cartridge mouth that is. The only ones I've ever heard not fitting well in a cartridge slot are Tigervision games, and the Supercharger in some because of that bulge on it. But this won't work with the Supercharger anyway, so no worries there.

I think it would be impossible to make it 100% compatible with emulation, and making it a hardware clone would be expensive and difficult as even the off the shelf parts the Atari was made with back in the day are probably no longer manufactured, nevermind the proprietary bits. And that's before modifying it to use HDMI.

Table for Mr. 77, table for Mr. 77. Mr. 77, you table is ready.

If you reread that first release, he does say original joystick and paddles are supported. I think he means the driving controller and keypads aren't supported.
