  1. Ignore the PAL comment. Wrong thread and wouldn't let me edit or delete.
  2. What type of tv/monitor are you using? Are you sure it is a pal console? The ones I have seen online look like they don't use the same RF box, but use a board by the power switch.
  3. So you have: Green -> Gnd Pin 1 Red-> 12V Pin 4 (White Jumper shouldn't be needed as the 12V you are tapping on Pin 4 is the input to the RF box so it shouldn't matter if a trace is broken) White -> Video Pin 6 (you might want to move the connection directly to the pin 6) Black -> Audio C88 leg closest to RF box
  4. I would think so. The fact that you worked on the AV mod and it got better for a little bit makes me think it is most likely an issue with the AV mod. Here is a link with info on the LM318 mod, not sure if it is applicable to PAL systems. https://www.a1k0n.net/projects/coleco/sch.html
  5. If the atari module does the same thing, it should not be the vdp as the atari module video does not go through the vdp.
  6. Here is one installed. The connections inside the RF box are for Gnd, 12V, and the composite video output from the HEF4066 (that switches between the external video for the EM1 and the CV video output).
  7. The AV mod taps into the pins that are inputs to the RF module. These connections would still work even with the RF module were removed and could be accessed from the main board as well. The mod is usually installed in the RF box as that is the easiest place to get to them.
  8. The vdp does output color directly either in composite (9918) or yuv (9928/9929), so the AV mods do not need the RF circuitry to generate color. 5-11 has already said he is still working on this and is working on a another revision for later in the year, so this isn't something he has said he doesn't have time for. For those looking to just get a working system, it will be much more cost effective in my opinion to just to get a new system then it will be to get an updated motherboard due to the size and complexity of the board. The way the colecovision is laid out, the motherboard has to be very large for it to be a drop in replacement which is going to make it a very expensive option unless there are really high volumes.
  9. What were you looking for?
  10. Does the RF output do the exact same thing? If the RF looks good (or as good as RF can) it might point the the AV mod failing. If not probably the VDP like nanochess said.
  11. You should look into getting a AV mod with the LM318 chip instead. The "Ben Heck" transistor mod is prone to overheating and has some brightness issues. Both myself and Yurkie sell these mods. Feel free to contact if you have any questions. The circuit is not too hard if you are interested in doing one yourself. Thanks
  12. www.teampixelboy.com www.opcodegames.com www.collectorvision.com www.atariage.com/store www.gooddealgames.com Sites to get homebrew games.
  13. I do have both for sale without boxes, but I do include turbo for the driving module and slither and victory for the roller controller. http://colecovisionupgradesandsales.ecwid.com
  14. Hi I setup a new online store to help make ordering easier for the modded systems I sell like the HDMI output version. Preorders can also be ordered through the site if they are out of stock. I also have expansion modules, accessories, and games on the store as well. Here is the direct link: https://colecovisionupgradesandsales.ecwid.com/ This can also be accessed through facebook on my page: https://www.facebook.com/ColecoVisionUpgradeAndSales/ by clicking on the store tab. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks
  15. It would be good if Luc could put out some cart only games of Dragon's lair at a low price to drive down Fred's prices like Toby was able to do with Galaga. It is miserable seeing the amount of money Fred is making off those games selling them at $50 a game.
  16. Must be a nice power supply for $80. http://www.ebay.com/itm/genuine-original-12v-5v-power-supply-COLECO-VISION-55416-cable-plug-electric-VDC-/391018771585?hash=item5b0a88f481:g:vIMAAOxyTjNSk3sZ
  17. Could be that or to move to a different account that doesn't have negative feedback for bootleg items or so people might not notice it was the same person
  18. I have extra working power supplies for sale. I can also refurbish or upgrade the video output if interested. https://www.facebook.com/ColecoVisionUpgradeAndSales/
  19. New Alias account for Fred? Seems to be selling all of Fred's go-to bootlegs with same descriptions and pictures http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dragons-Lair-super-Game-Megacart-Super-game-Module-ColecoVision-ADAM-/152167421869?hash=item236de297ad:g:MVMAAOSwGXtXh8pV Also same town.
  20. I am pretty sure (and correct me if I am wrong) that is Toby posting it, so I am confident it would be legit. I would think the idea is to sell as just a cart to keep the price extremely low for the longest amount of time so it doesn't go over Fred's BIN price to prevent the bootleg from selling at the higher price. (above is just speculation on my part)
  21. Everything looks great. Only thougt I had was maybe making the pics in the Gallery for the game images a little larger.
  22. Great idea to undercut Fred by putting a legit copy of the game on ebay at low price. maybe this will slow down the money he has been raking in with his forgeries. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ColecoVision-Galaga-Coleco-vision-CBS-SGM-/262524605152?hash=item3d1faf92e0:g:IwAAAOSw2GlXFZuO
  23. Milli is selling them in his store for $12 http://retrosystemrescue.com/product/adam-game-controller/ Very good deal for a fully refurbished controller.
