Certainly true around here. I thought about driving to a town an hour away because while going through there recently I noticed how many pawn shops there were. I haven't made the trip yet, though. I'm not expecting great finds, though.

So, KETO diet is a high fat diet? In one website, it said to eat as many eggs as you want or less then 36. What about cholesterol in eggs and animal fat, it will clog up your vains?

Keto diet is a no-carb diet. This induces the body into ketosis, which is consuming body tissue (presumably excess fat), converting it into simple sugars to feed the brain. This is the typically job of carbohydrates.

It is a natural mechanism built into the body considered to be an *emergency* condition. It is literally what happens during starvation: sugar will be synthesized from wherever the body can find it in order to keep the brain alive.

It can be safe in moderation and under medical supervision, but most of its effects (including long-term health effects) are not fully understood.

  3. So really no new news on this? I thought I would take a hiatus for a few months and come back to something more amazing. That was a lot of posts to read through but I think I might prepare for this upcoming monumental development from NuAtari. So I am buying up electrical tape and all the defunct Oyua's since we all know how well that worked for another machine attempting to launch and all. in the meantime maybe they should take the approach like this ad here.
  4. Back on the forum again. Its been a long time but vacation and work seems to always get in my way.

  5. Challenge accepted. I have lots of footage so I'll get you an unboxing you will never forget. In fact no one will and it will ruin retro gaming FOREVER!
  6. I miss cheap games for sure but then again I have not bought lots of games in a long time. I am willing to support my local retro shops when I can and they tend not to fluctuate as much as price charting or other video game estimators. So their prices do not reflect the fact it may be in a YouTube review video or not. I asked once how they got the number they sell at and its a factor of what they pay and sales on ebay plus average value from a few sites. In the end though my plot to ruin retro gaming will have to wait until I can incorporate shapchat, worthless meme's, and random animal's or crying babies......wait sorry that's Facebook right? So are they to blame now for the fiasco of games and their value?
  7. Well those odds were against me. 3 sump pumps in my pit and 2 died at the same time leaving my piddly like 1/4 hp one to try to keep up with 5 inches of rain. It was a lost cause sadly but thanks to plastic tubs the games were all safe.

Yeah I guess they have to be ran periodically by pouring water in and letting the float rise so the pump will kick in. Also the batteries go bad. I think my friend has a little battery tender/float charger always connected to his battery backup to keep it always topped up.

I had the coupling on the pipe leading outside go bad. Nothing worse than ice cold water splashing all over the basement and me while trying to replace it.

  8. So does this end the debate on the consoles going out of style? No more talk on getting out of the console race? But by 2021 what will the "Atacobox" be? So many questions but are there any answers?
  9. Getting ready to get my summer project moving. Literally and hopefully all it needs are some tires and a battery and some fluids to get it going.

  10. Perhaps its worth a revisit although I will have to suffer with the Playstation version since that is the only one I own. I know right not even one for my Jaguar like it should be.
  11. So thinking on this I know I own 2 games from that era that have not been mentioned yet. Minnesota Fats - really its side pocket redone. Primal Rage - Really not bad for a 16 bit fighter. Light Crusader - I remember buying this like form the discount bin and never plying more than 10 minutes of it back in the day. Revisiting it though its not a bad game at all. Zoop also came to mind as a terrible puzzle game released for everything.

Cats would be better than a car and probably last longer up to 18 years if you get a no frills one.

  13. Bought my first Everdrive is this the first step to whittling down a physical collection?

I got the one for the Turbo graphix-16 seemed the best way to start being I got the system and a new generation booster card for video.

Awesome! I know I sold some Famicom/NES stuff after buying mine. I still mostly sell duplicates though. I figure I'll never sell my old old stuff from BITD (Atari carts for instance)...Too many memories.

    4. NE146

      NE146

I dunno.. I got most all the major everdrives and it hasn't whittled down any of the collections for their respective consoles by one single cart.

  14. Well I was one of the few dolts that bought my Wii U on launch week. Not the first day but that week I was out to get it and bring home a new Nintendo system. It was loved for about 3 months then went into the backlog of storage where no one cared about it. It had some good titles but never enough of them from the Nintendo game makers nor 3rd party when it came to the software offerings for like the 360 and ps3. So lack of enough unique games utilizing the now hated Wii gimmick controls nor the Wii U gamepad really killed it for me anyhow. I saw potential and interesting portability. Yeah the pad was pretty big but I did not hate it. At least it was a solid piece of equipment from my standpoint over some other system Wii U2? Or is that a band? I have brought the Wii U back out of storage now ( since it all retro now so I won't feel ashamed) and I am finding lots of fun titles I missed for cheaper. I know they are porting most of the library to the Switch but I think that also dulls down on the fact Nintendo still seems slower on the production of licensed games. So the Wii U fooled me into what I thought was gong to be a nice long run of Wii experience and I did not need to buy more controllers and I could play my old Wii games. The Switch though you can't fool me twice. Lots see it as a success but don't be blinded by a cover up Wii U Style is my warning. Now I am going to alter my other Wii U with a nice battery pack and 2nd screen so I can take it on the go and get those Switch lovers to envy my "Limited edition Switch 2 retro Wii ".
  15. Yay for finding out there is a recall on a car that will fix my problems. Nay for the possibility of having to drive it 200 miles to get to the nearest dealer.

2006 Acura TL Pressure line for power steering. It fails because it gets too hot next to the engine. Go figure right.

Yeah, the high pressure lines I've seen usually have shielding around them. Oooops!

  16. I think its time to re evaluate videos making again. I don't want to go crazy and all.

  17. I am surprised that we on this site on this forum have truly not mentioned the obvious winner here. The Ataribox.........VCS.....whatever. No really my true vote stands below.
  18. At what point do you have to decide to not dump any more money into a car?

I limit it at when the cost exceeds the yield possible after fixing the car. My car was $600 and just a window can eat half that. Fixing it can yield much more use time, in which, I'd earn enough to replace the car.

Exactly. My car pays for itself every 2 weeks of use.

  19. I would like to make some predictions to this series of announcements as they go but every time I try something vastly odd happens. From what I have read and seen though I have mixed feelings on this endeavor. Its like they want to have something tangible to relate to the Atari fans while trying to bring back the brand into a new century. The question of the century though is what do consumers and game enthusiasts really want now? (Insert taco here and if the channel ribs were bigger on the top of that box it could hold tacos) I dunno consumerism on the game standpoint is viscous at best and poorly directed by the latter. Anyway I can't wait for this to be sold at Toys R Us.
  20. Artificial Taco Attention Risk Innovation 8164 (2600* Taco Pie) Data Crypto Miner 49er. So that would be my choice for the newest inception of this majestic device.
  21. Not saying you should buy on rumor as well but I definitely put more thought into buying my XBone. when they started to tout backwards compatibility that was like a moment to still enjoy some older games while also having access to new. Now I am down to wondering which original Xbox games they might bring to the plate as Knights of the Old Republic and Fuzion Frenzy are surely worth owning the Xbone upgrade graphics for.
  22. Or the new Toys R Us outlets since their big stores are done for and dumping extra stock into Gamestop makes sense. "I'll take Call of Duty and that box of diapers please."
  23. You know you could go just bat poo crazy. Tap the power you need off the input from the Genny power supply. and then change our the audioslider with push button plus slide to turn the Bluetooth on or off. All components would be hidden inside and you would still have a nice clean unit. Please note I did not say this would be easy but possible I think so.
  24. You know as a side note you could point him to Emulation as a cheaper option rather than trying to get back all the physical items. Just saying when you got nothing but remember good times take the safe route and try it before you buy it again just my thoughts there. I know I deal quite often with 2 close friends for trades and buy offs but one of them is adamant about not selling his collection to either of us knowing very well he might want it back in the future and knowing the person who has it. Call that a good move or not I am not sure to be honest but its definitely a method to keep things up and up with friends as an option.
  25. You know what though looking carefully at this again it looks like something from my old job. Not the best job but it had great perks. Too bad I got fired before they finished the project. This could be the new control set for the Death Star simulator game.
