  1. Interesting. I almost considered SCART but I see the side of cost vs other options. when you get a number of systems added to the mix the cost could be really prohibited or perhaps your yearly gift to yourself for Christmas in its investment.
  2. Well I am looking forward to getting an NES mini classic for a price that's not unreasonable. Now will they keep the SNES stocked as well?
  3. So some facebook groups are full of leeches and king midas pretenders. Ugh bye bye retro gaming whatever whatever group you suck.

  4. Only if you also slab them and work the pre order sale sales.
  5. Yes but the combo of the 2 statements is like the 32X attachment giving you a whole new level. Check out what you could have said. just saw some really cute corpse killer chicks at robinson feed. but i'm good to know. alright, lets try night trap but i'm going off topic.pity I couldn't buy them
  6. So whats a fair rate for a Jaguar 3 button controller NIB, Doom CIB , and Checkered Flag CIB?

      Skippy B. Coyote

      Controller: $25

      Doom: $60

      Checkered Flag: $15

I think he is thinking the controller might be worth more. I mentioned getting a NIB one like 2 years ago for $20 so $25 seems more likely.

  7. Hmm I would have to side with the 3DO on this one just for saving on power but the Genesis with the ad ons looks awful impressive as a tower of power. There really aren't too many direct port to ports to compare between the 2 though either.
  8. I got some of these from another local collector and he just did not want them but I said hey I know guys that might so. I got some Jag CD boxes and a few manuals for the Jag as well. All offers will be considered really. I have not idea on price I would just like to give them good homes. I would even be willing to trade for like a few other Jag things. Pictures will be added later. Jaguar CD boxes and such Myst Hover Strike Baldies Manuals Myst Kasumi ninja Iron Soldier (beat up sadly)
  9. Good stuff to try here. I just didn't want to use lots of time chasing ghosts here. I did find a power supply video so I might check the connectors quick as that would be easy to do I think. Maybe find a clean Coleco game as well just in case but I tried lots of carts and they all had the same issue. They boot with errors. No sound but are playable to a point. At some point or another the bugginess just makes it unplayable again. Cleaning the cart slot was another thought. Just not sure how to get that really cleaned. I don't think the envelope with alcohol will work here but the pins don't look too corroded but then again I can't see to the bottom of them either. Thoughts on this would be nice. Being its soldered to the board its not something easily removed for better cleaning and all. I will give both those a spin and see what happens.
  10. So a friend asked me to look over his ColecoVision cause it stopped working correctly. Thoughts on what I should trouble shoot here from the picture and the fact there is no sound? Carts have been cleaned and worked in another system so really not sure where to go with this now. Suggestions are surely welcome here. Thanks
  11. I bought an empty box for a few bucks. So this guy had a sega Cd game in his hand going to trade it in and I caught him before he hit the door. "Pardon me good sir are you planning on trading that in?" "Yeah but I don't think they will take it the game is all ruined and I have no way of testing it but I thought it might be worth a try." "Could I see that?" Inspecting the game and seeing the light through the disk I was for sure it was not playable. "Yeah that wont ever play its missing data. See here you can see the light through the disk in lots of spots. they probably won't offer anything for this. I will give you $10 though for the box and stuff if you like." "Sure" So done deal. Time to find a disk that works now.
  12. I would add Wipeout to this list. Although it was DL only for PS3 but it did get a physical release for the ps4 though.
  13. I as going to give up gaming, then an alcoholic friend told me "No one likes a Quitter" so I took up drinking too.

  14. Question. A/V receivers? Anyone check into those doing upscaling? Just thought I would ask as a friend of mine uses I believe a Denon to connect everything to his TV including old console systems. I could not attest to actual performance but it does make me curious.
  15. I agree with this one for sure. Its better than I expected and way fun. I would also add Fighting Force to this. Not the second one but the first one. Its a fun brawler just a little weird on getting used to the controls and all.
  16. Encounter at L5 is on my list for sure. Picnic is a maybe.
  17. So just on another thought since the Framemeister is discontinued did anyone pick up the spec prints for the unit? It would be nice to see someone else make another version of it and all. I will admit the upconverter I use is not the best as well but it functions for what I use it for for the most part. The cables though seems like a very interesting option. I might have to consider those in the upcoming days when I change out my TV again.
  18. Hmm I could not afford one of those fancy Framemeisters but I did find what I thought was a good upconverter that can take the S-video out from the saturn and convert it to HDMI. Here is a short video with the RCA box I use as a switch which does S-video out. Maybe look at the video out on this and give it a thought.
  19. Lets not forget the ever wonderful fact the 32X makes it easier to play Mega Drive games. I found that to be one of the useful design items with the unit. No more tower with the game genie but a new tower that needs power and cords but you never have to worry about it getting bumped as much.
  20. Thinking on reviewing a compilation game for the SAturn with Arcade ports for Atari thoughts?

    1. Flojomojo

      Flojomojo

"Atari's Greatest Hits Vol 1," with Asteroids and 5 other games? More power to ya, I guess! The Saturn version is better than the Super Nintendo version. The main issue is gamepad control on trackball/spinner games.

  21. I happened across some of the late compilation of like Williams Arcade for SNES and Genesis but found the Sega Saturn version really seemed to nail the more arcade feel look and sound. The Atari collection was also good for the Saturn but adding games like Tempest was a mistake without a rotary controller and missile command without a rollerball. Is it more not just the game but the controller and controls that makes the difference?
  22. I shared this elsewhere but this is my receipt for when I bought my 32X. Still have the unit but my box is now a replacement. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/268741-ever-find-old-receipts-for-stuff-you-bought/
