  1. Has anyone here heard of the NES game Asterix the Gaul?  I've never seen it and don't know for sure if it actually exists as a game.  Was it a US or non-US release?

It was announce for the US market but never make it. It was release in Europe only.

Does anyone have any information about any of the Australian and European releases?

    http://simplynes.emucamp.com/palpictures.html

In non-US releases i have Asterix, Dragon Ball, Chevaliers du Zodiaque and International Cricket (Australian release).

I'm waiting the following games in few weeks :

    NES: HyperSoccer (complete)

    NES: KickOff (complete)

    NES: Prince Vaillant (+ manual)

    NES: Road Figther (complete)

    NES: Crackout (complete)

    NES: Schtroumpfs (complete)

    NES: Le Roi Lion (complete)

  2. The bottom connector was used for the modem for the unreleased Minnesota State Lottery cart.

    http://www.megspace.com/entertainment/neskingdom/special/lottery/index.html

Is this real or a joke? It was a great idea and something I never knew about before.

    It's real.

The first idea of the bottom connector was for a FDS like device. But later in the NES life, the modem idea was most closest thing they did.

But the Minnesota lottery never came out of the prototype stage.

  5. I have a working Coleco Telstar #6040 Pong.

It is in working order. It only miss the silver sticker on the left knob and the woodgrain sticker is a little bit damaged under the option button. Overall, in good condition. It required a RF cable which i dont have.

    PM if you are interested.

  6. Another trick for my fellow Canadian who ship often from Canada to the US like me. Try to get the venture card (5% rebate). 5% it's not big BUT i can ship expedited parcel + tracking number anywhere in the US and Canada at the price of normal parcel price :D The stuff arrived inside a week (two weeks MAX for the US) and everybody is happpy. Also i never had problems with customs about opening package, taxes or handling shit.

Canada Post said it's for small business. I don't have a business and i got the card. To be sure, i asked at two different post office if i can do this and they said yes. It's weird because they don't even ask a real prove that you are a real business. You can even ask for the card online. :)

What datafreq said it's true. Sending package that are too small cost them too much money that ship a bigger box.
