  1. Earlier today I bought some traditional Absinthe with Wormwood; Not illegal (anymore), but I'd never seen it for sale at my nearby liquor store until now...

      There's a lot of interesting personalities associated with Absinthe. Hemingway, Van Gogh, James Joyce, Toulouse Lautrec, Oscar Wilde...Hell even Mark Twain and FDR...

      I believe thujone may have gotten an unfortunate bad name. Yes it is toxic in large quantities but even analyzing remaining samples of 19th century absinthe doesn't indicate toxic levels. However people consumed alcohol in general in lethal doses, so many of them would have gone mad and died even from other types of alcohol.
