So for New Sellers, eBay holds the funds until the item is shipped, I got a message from the girl saying she can't ship my MP3 Player until they release the funds, had to call eBay, then email her how it works *sigh*

  That's good for buyers, but I would think it would slow eBay's growth with new users. It's definitely good for us long-time users and makes our established accounts (mine is over 20 years old now) even more useful. I've helped others sell things off and now I see how it can be intimidating to get started.

  It also prevents anyone who is really short for cash to sell of their stuff to raise some money, as you will need to pay shipping with your own money. Do they release the payment once it is marked as shipped or does the recipient have to pick it up first?
