Atari, ColecoVision, Vectrex, NES, SNES, Genesis, Turbografx, GBA, Famicom, Super Famicom, Mega Drive, PC Engine, DC, PS1/2/3 and more, or if you're Billy Idol, moe, moe, moe. **Created by Warren Robinett, Not really of course, Just my attempt at an Easter Egg** Also love movies/TV and the Stock Market. And for what it's worth, back in the Good ol Days, I used to do some vocals in some Grindcore/Metal/Punk bands: Desecrator, Anarchy Dragon, Monastat 7, and Monastat 2600. Lately I'm working on some recordings in my basement of the cosmic noize/dark ambient variety.

  1. Passing thought:  I think there's 3 kinds of songs,  when it comes to Great Songs* anyway.  Songs where the music is great;  Songs where the lyrics are great;  And (the more rare) Songs where the music and lyrics are both great.

*This will vary based on your tastes of course.  And this doesn't generally apply to instrumentals,  ambient, atmospheric, or noise tracks...

But that's all based on opinion though.

I agree (as a fan of JS Bach) that

great music is made of prime composition and fine lyrics...

(... yeah, and much metal in Bachs direction...)

I actually don't keep lists, but I think of "favorite songs" in a couple distinct categories-

Songs with a "vibe" I just like, usually a good chorus, and then-

      Songs that seem "perfectly constructed".

Falling to Pieces, by Faith no More, and Your Betrayal, by BFMV would fall into the latter category, as I wouldn't call them "favorite songs", but as a musician, it's a "nailed it" kinda thing.
