  1. Also as a cost saving deal I'm sure, it looks like the new VS doesn't have the cool color-changing LEDs...But I'm just going off of what it looks like.
  2. So join us here each week my friends,
You're sure to get a smile,...

For some reason I woke up with that in my head,...So I got up,  left a Status Update and went back to bed...Used to watch that every day before Brady Bunch! (ages 1-5-ish)

Yup, I used to watch that a ton!  Mr. Ed, Dennis the Menace, M*A*S*H, The A-Team, Airwolf and more!  Great shows those were.

  3. (Ignore the little sad icon, I was kind of kidding)...;) Maybe you'll instantly replace the joystick, add ROMs and end up liking it...Myself I returned it almost instantly! (The Only "Mini" I've ever returned). It was a very frustrating product...I'm very surprised anyone likes these! (Usually the same people rip on Flashbacks - which work fine right out of the box...) Anyway, I wish you luck! And I'm kind of curious what you will think. (I'm usually so upbeat so I don't mean to be negative here, But I do wonder...) Let us know in the future won't you? Cheers!
  4. Bent_pin is a Fantastic person to buy, sell, and trade with! Good as GOLD! And fast... I think if ya tell him there's no rush, it's almost like he's even faster! This last time, I feel like the games arrived before I even ordered them!
  5. I feel like there were plenty I left behind. I guess if you like video games you're going to like consoles. Anyone else consider the Evercade VS? The black Founder's Edition looks pretty sharp and the way it lights up and the colors of the light bands change...Very slick! I just didn't want to leave off a classic like Genesis to pick the VS...
  6. In no particular order,...(5 seems hard...I'm going for 10) Atari 7800 - Love it! Red Sharp Twin Famicom PS2 - Was one I just kept staring at after I got it (at launch!)... Analogue Super NT Sega Genesis ColecoVision - I like the way the controllers fit, not to mention the sliding door expansion panel PC Engine DUO-R Game Boy - Green (Took a very long time before I Finally got a Green one) GBA SP - So many cool colors I have and can make with new shells, buttons etc.! JVC X'Eye
  7. Thanks for this! It's a fun game!
  8. So I was thinking ruminating,...Introspecting on this whole Amico saga (Debacle if you prefer...I know I do). And I thought maybe it's time to give it to the robots. Yup! Gotta see what AI has to say! So they figure (well, with my help I guess)...That it could be boiled down and analyzed as a single PC screen shot, ... featuring 3 Folders labeled HATER DUNGEON, TOMMY KEEPS REFUNDS, and POETRY (yeah,...I used a little Creative License, heh ...Struck me as funny)... So here's what they came up with...And, fortunately, it becomes more unhinged the further ya go! ...
  9. This is one of those things. If I had a 5200, well I'd probably be ordering it right now instead of writing this comment.
  10. I'd say not to worry. Really, things don't have to make sense. ("Beat them all" works fine IMO). It's probably more important that people know what you mean, Hence I don't say "hard rock bands from the 80's that were starting to turn metal", I choke on my pride a little bit and say "hair bands"...Uccccck! PS Speaking of, didn't the French invent the term Heavy Metal (as in Métal Hurlant?...Magazine or otherwise)...I think maybe they did! Then again I may be right...I may be crazy.
  11. "The "Grab something and Throw it at something else" single screen, but multi-level platformer." It rolls off the tongue!
  12. Maybe we should just call them zoomers! Haaaa! (I know ...This joke makes no sense whatsoever, but I'm tired...a bit medicated)... I remember when "Shmup" became a thing...An R-Type game up to a "Bullet Hell" shoot-em-Up...And damn if I didn't try to ignore that word like I did "podcast"...Like "Hair Band"...I tried ...thought if I ignored it hard enough it might go away, But eventually the word caught on and people, even seemingly smart, everyday people (Who in all other aspects of their life were kind of normal (like me, Haaa)) began to use it as if it made sense ...Well, What are ya gonna do? Sometimes in life you make funny noises with your mouth, put'em together with syllables and accents, intonations and whatnot ...before you know it, You're using the word simply because at least out of all the nonsense you generally spout, at least in that, they will know what you mean...
  13. "Like gold to airy thinness beat" The Amico looks like a place to rest your feet... ...Just imagining what poetry might adorn the HQ Walls...
  14. If anybody needs them, I have extra copies of Technos Arcade 1 and Data East Arcade 1. I was thinking $30 for BOTH! I'll even cover shipping if you live in the U.S.! (PM Me!)
  15. I've never seen Cloak & Dagger the movie, nor played the video game, but... In the late 80's, for a short time, I had a Defender cabinet in my bedroom. And on one side was the Defender artwork just like you'd expect, and on the other side was Cloak & Dagger's artwork. I guess the machine was converted to Cloak & Dagger for a time, then converted back to Defender. On Topic: There's a Star Castle machine in Maximum Overdrive (1986), and Time Pilot '84... Lots of machines in Joysticks (1983) (of course), and Satan's Hollow must have been a promo with Bally/Midway...
  16. I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure in Firefox it gives you the warning with an option to Download it anyway...
  17. Yeah, Thank You for taking the time Albert! I got the warnings in Firefox, but knew they were False...
  18. Yup! Ordered Codemasters!
  19. Bobbler! Haaa, I like that! You mentioned Tumble Pop for Game Boy way earlier and it triggered a memory for me. I bought that game (as a poor college student without a lot of cash to burn on games at the time) based on a review in a magazine. Anyway in that review (about 1992) he called it a "Platform" Game, which we would later call "Platformers"...It stood out to me as that was the very first time I heard a game called that. It seems so common now, but back then... BTW, I'm not saying that was the first use of the term, but it was the first time I became aware of it.
  20. I have a couple of Flashback 2s and a bunch of other Flashbacks, too...I got the second one dirt cheap because I wanted some extra FB joysticks. They sold it "as is" and basically said it didn't work. I tried it and it was just fine; No idea why they thought it didn't work! Maybe they had something weird happen, like the cat pulled out the A/V cable ahaha....IDK,...Maybe they had lag and hadn't put the TV into GAME mode. No idea really! I've never had an ounce of trouble with it.
  21. I hope to go check out your place sometime! I was analyzing it, in the context of a Vegas trip. You are 6 hours and 22 minutes from me! Then another 6 hours 7 minutes to Vegas! HMMMmmmm...I hope to show up one day and say hey.
  22. Yeah Jake from State Farm walks up and says, "Man after a long day of all this insurance bullsh*t, Gonna play me some 'Bitche's Brew!" But before he pops a quarter in he looks the artwork in front of the cabinet and says, "Jesus Christ! What kind of butt barnacle thought this artwork looked good? A spastic 2 year old with his hands in the fingerpaints could have done a better job!" Then he spits on the Atari logo and begins unzipping his khakis...
