Over the last few years, I've come to realize that I don't actually like JRPGs, despite some of my favorite games being in said genre.

Well pump just died. Guess who's lowering his happy butt 6' into the well to disconnect the water pipe.

The ones I made/sold at Little Philly were under $3! One thing is they were handmade (I mean we had the machine like at an old time soda shop) and ice cream in the freezer. Not sure if the place you're talking about did handmade or just pulled a lever on the machine, but it took some skill and practice to nail it, otherwise you could make it too thin or too thick, or have too much or not enough...
(here's the machine)

I've decided I just need to go for it. Started putting maximum effort into my PC repair business this weekend. If I don't force this to work I'll be stuck at Walmart the rest of my life. 🙄

A guy around here works out of his home, advertises in classifieds, and yeah, his name comes up in internet searches...I've had him fix hard drive issues, memory leaks, re-install Windows, put in new CD Drives, etc. He is always cheap, always professional, and always busy as hell! If you know your stuff, it could be a really good gig for you.

The power flashed this morning. Some of the clocks stayed set but others didn't.

Alestorm concert is tonight! Woo!

I'm in a mode. A Depeche Mode...
-
How weird - the TankStick showed up a few hours later, and then the delivery photo was updated correctly. Guess the UPS guy scanned the wrong box or something? Anyway, YAY. Now Saturday night plans are back to what they were supposed to be!

I don't believe in pessimism. If something doesn't come up the way you want, forge ahead. If you think it's going to rain, it will.

I feel like anyone who claims to work more than two in jobs is full of it. At your primary job, there's times where you are expected to come in early or stay late. Or come in on a day you're normally not scheduled. There's no way you can satisfy the demands of three different companies. The second job will be somewhat lenient with your scheduling if they understand you have a primary job but it's nearly impossible to keep a third job going for any length time where you have to show up at a certain place at a certain time (and still manage to have a life)
-
Well, I can remember at one point in the 80's I had 2 paper routes (I quickly gave up one), had a job, and went to college full-time Afterwards I had a job, a paper route and college...By the time I went to University, though, it was just college and nothing else. Most of the time (when people say that) it is part time jobs, or a full time and 1 part time,...I work with some people with multiple jobs...And yeah it's Rough and they look Frazzled!

Can anybody link me to how the heck crazy climber controls? I have a stick for it, but I'm garbage, and attract mode is zero help.
-
Oh man! It's been a long time! I always thought the controls were wonky on that one...Yet, BITD, I think that was my friend's first ever video game cabinet...And I seem to remember that the game was Beyond Heavy...Just weighed more than anyone would ever think...Afraid it's been too long, but I thought I'd fall into a rhythm with the controls ...Def Twin stick...I keep thinking you move one, then the other until you fall into a rhythm with it...Try different things because honestly I could be misremembering...

For anyone checking in here I'm sad to tell you that Sparkdrummer isn't with us any more. He lost his battle with lung cancer which I expand on in this post:

Hot take: upscaling 3D PS1/Saturn/N64 games to high resolutions on emulators does not look better, and actually leads to artistic inconsistency.
The low resolution of the games helped hide some of the shortcomings, such as low poly models and low detail textures. Upscaling these games to HD only accentuates these problems, and makes the games look artistically incoherent. On one hand, you have a super high resolution game. On the other hand, the textures are so low resolution that you can count the pixels. It doesn't look natural at all.
Edit: This also doesn't include other stuff such as lighting and basic environment detail. Which can also look very odd and baren at high resolutions.

The Emergency Room is a fun place to be. That may or may not have been a complete lie.
