      The first unit I tried didn't work at all, May have been my region modded (and SCART) PC Engine Duo-R. This time I'm just using my S-Video Turbografx 16 and it's working like a champ!

    I gotta say I remember Adventure being $29.99, Not $50! (And I'm pretty sure we're all in agreement on that one)... Then again, I remember paying $37.95 for Pac-Man because I had to have it and we'd already been to 3 stores which were sold out. This was probably one or two days after its release. Funny how sometimes word traveled fast back in those days, even without the internet. The most ironic part was the store I bought it at was called Pay & Save.

    My guess is the reason you never hear them talk about games or developers, is that they are planning to use existing content...That plus maybe Roller Coaster Tycoon and some Atari Flashback type titles...

    When I read the topic, my first thoughts were Atari 5200 (since I never had one), Vectrex, and Turbografx...It'd be cool to have Turbografx and PC Engine games on that last one.

    I'd say let's add CPUWIZ and Flojomojo.... And you know what? IF ATARI was serious about this thing they should form a brain trust featuring these people. Put them on the payroll. Run decisions past them. Ask them for advice,...Hell ask them what to do next! Then it might be a success! I also feel it is worth mentioning, that when it comes to posts that just bring a smile, every time I think about it...And an under the breath or even out loud laugh...I gotta go with calling this thing the Atari ShitShow... Jesus! Talk about truth in advertising!

    Where I live we had GoBots on TV after The Thundercats, but before G. I. Joe...And yeah I have the GoBots theme song in my iTunes as well haha...It's nostalgia, because although I saw the toy commercials complete with music, the actual Transformers cartoon didn't air here (To my knowledge, but I didn't have cable so I could be wrong)...

    What Battlestar Galactica Figures did you guys have growing up? I only had a Cylon Centurian and Imperious Leader...Everyone had Cylons, but 1 friend had an Ovion and another had the Daggit.

      It is very odd that they never made one for Apollo or Boomer nor a bunch of other main characters.

      I never had any of the figures. I had one of the Cylon Raiders with the missiles. It had a little Cylon figure IIRC.

    At any rate, Despite what the press releases do, which is attempt to convince some people that there will be a console and games etc., I see them in the same light as meetings at a company I used to work for. I had a manager who could talk for about 30-45 minutes and say just shy of nothing, as if his brain was on autopilot, in "time wasting" mode...Sometimes I'd analyze a sentence or two when I'd check back in every 10 minutes and I don't even think the guy was listening to himself!! Rather than a slick company back in the hardware game, I'm picturing 10 employees crowdfunding something...And then IF the thing even gets made, I doubt it will be in Best Buys or WalMarts across the country, but will probably be stacked in a storage shed somewhere waiting for occasional sales off a website...

    My guess was that Atari SA wanted to destroy someone else's dreams (Dreamcade) so they went looking for someone to do the job. They couldn't find Mike Kennedy and The Mysterious Mr. Lee may have been in prison, so they went to Feargal Mac.

    That's bizarre! Did you at least try closing the window and relaunching your web browser and reopening AtariAge? Sometimes a weird error gets fixed just by doing that.

    I just read an article on (Dangerous) Toys we don't have today...Lessee (from the list) I had a Water Wiggle, Clackers, Lawn Darts, and of course a Battlestar Galactica Viper.

      What I'd do with my most high powered Dart Gun is put in chopsticks which I had sharpened in the pencil sharpener! Those things would stick in our curtains from about 25 feet away!

      I remember playing cowboys and indians with my cousins when I was probably 6 or 7 years old, and the indians always won on account of us taking the suction cups off the ends of the arrows and sharpening the wooden shaft in a pencil sharpener. XD And yeah, I ate tons of those candy cigarettes as a kid! I liked the Target brand ones, which tasted oddly like Pepto-Bismol but in a good way.

    Straight from the What are you eating tonight? thread... Tonight I had TACOS!!!! I used Griller Veggie crumbles (instead of ground beef) and poured jalapeno juice on top of the crumbles while they cooked (and a tiny splash of beer)...
