Random thought: Watching an old MST3K, it occurs to me that much of the humor that made it great wouldn't work anymore.

Can we have some more silence to enjoy please?

Our gas bill was double and local people on nextdoor.com complained about the same thing. A couple people called and were told that the price went up and it's going to stay that way, so keep your furnace at 68, add insulation, only run the dishwasher when full, and so on. I don't know about the insulation, but we already do the other things.

In case you're ever incased in mud, that's a good time to learn how to spell.

Remember in 1981, when everyone could use their pop tabs to spell out P E P S I S P I _ I T, but nobody had an R?

My Community Reputation just hit 10,000. It sounded impressive until I realized it would be a pretty lousy score in just about any video game I like playing.

Just had COVID-19 test no. 2 this week. Boy, did they get right up in there with the swab this time. Twisted it, too!

Been down sick for 3 days. Took a COVID-19 test yesterday; it came back negative. Doesn't explain why I can't taste or smell anything, though. Think I'll schedule a retest.

When did 'The Mandalorian' become who he is? I mean, isn't he merely Boba Fett on steroids?

So, uh, is it normal that every new big console that's released is unobtainable for a while until everything settles down?

Atari's VCS has so many exclusives*, it's great!
*Exclusives may be available on other platforms from day one, and may, in fact, be games from other systems ported to the VCS.

Performing minimally invasive surgery on vintage electronics is fun and rewarding. And a reaffirmation of dexterity. Insert your tools through one preied-apart cabinet hole, inject your parts and solder through a vent. And manipulate them to replace a component through yet a third and fourth hole. Even requires suction to prevent heat buildup from an enclosed soldering iron. Other useful repurposed-into-tool items were a straw and thread and one of those RARE, MEDIUM, WELL, tabs they stick in burgers.

Anyone have an extra 7800 they want to sell? Need a second for upstairs. I know there's a load on ebay but would love to try members first. Or find a good one for me on ebay if you are in the mood for a browse?

How about an AtariAge "Member of the Year" award. Has that been considered before?

I'm not sure yet, but I think the generic crossword I'm filling out right now has ATARI as the solution to "Computer brand, 5 letters".

Oni, the one game from Bungie that has been forgotten.

I've been self quarantined since last march, and now I'm coming down with a cold. o_O.
