  1. Well they already do NES/SNES with other RetroNs... So Now we Atari Fans can hope and pray they do this one right... My thought is this. There is no way in Hell this thing is gonna play Pitfall II....I'd be very surprised if most Homebrews work with it...And there's no way in **What's more dramatic than Hell? But I already used that one....Damn thesaurus is no good either... hmmm...)**... Let's just say It's not gonna work with the Harmony Cart either! OK Hyperkin... Prove Me Wrong!!! Please, I'd really dig it if you'd prove me wrong! I mean yes the Average Joe will buy it either way...And yes we Atari Age fans are a fickle group...Hard to please too...But I figure if you're going to be making this anyway. And without That much more effort, you have the chance to really do it right..Creating an instant classic...Creating new customers for future products, Creating the Cadillac of the RetroN line, Gaining more street cred than you know what to do with...Well, Why wouldn't you?
  2. I tend to think this is one of the major problems with online comments in general. As they say there is no "Tone" button on the internet...It's often hard to say if someone sits smiling and makes a tongue in cheek observation or if they're being negative and trying to be a real douche for whatever reason. At face value it's hard to say what you meant with your comment, and people took it in the worst way possible, I guess, probably since it seemed negative for no actual reason. (This doesn't mean that was your honest intent)...Kind of like pointing out something everyone does and have always done and making it like you have a problem with it, when in actuality you may have just been smiling and wondering what little quip someone was going to respond with, if anything...
  3. Last night my Favorite Atari 2600 broke! A light 6er w/ A/V/S-video mods. Now outputs a black screen :( Anyone out there repair them? PM Me or reply below. Thanks AA!

I might look under the hood, but if it's not something obvious, I won't know what I'm doing.

Really? So mum wasn't kidding that a 12-14 year old having my electric/mechanical repair experience was/is unusual?

  4. I'll take a stab and say Leisure Suit Larry. This should be a pretty good guess considering I don't even know those games, and therefore assume they are for PCs or something. I guess one of the things that really grinds my gears is when you see a game but have no idea what system it's for. I don't really use my computer to play games, but why is it so hard sometimes to just label what machine you need to play it?
  5. Right on! That's a neat little place, huh? It was the Paramount Theater when I was a kid...I remember they had something on their menu and "bragged" about a 1 star yelp review!
  6. So they're remaking FLATLINERS?? Tired of Butchering the classics, now they're going after movies so Mediocre nobody remembers them! Prediction: IT will be a HIT, MOTHER! will be MASSIVE...FLATLINERS will FLOP!!

Flatliners was so over hyped. It was... okay. I never really bought into the oooo scary theme, and thought the only thing it really had going for it is famous actors.

The reboot is sure to be worse. I'm surprised they didn't make it a campy comedy spoof of the original.

The problem is, they keep remaking *good* movies that don't need to be remade. Why not just pick a movie that had interesting elements but could be made better ... and make it better?

Or Better Yet, Make Sequels and original movies that don't re-use the same titles causing general confusion!

  7. I just noticed your location adamchevy! Once on a trip back to WY from Vegas I made a wrong turn when a road changed and Utah signs are confusing I guess,..But I felt rather "exploratory" and strangely in no mad rush...Anyway before getting back on track, as it were, I found myself in Duchesne. Beautiful scenery everywhere up there!
  8. Atariboy2600, Damn! If the Atari 7800 actually had come out with all of those games, back in the day I mean...And if it was in more stores, and Nintendo hadn't monopolized, it would have been a very different video game landscape! I dare say it would have given the NES a real run for its money. Your posts are Awesome and make me dream...
  9. GBAs, Plug n Plays, DS games, A Space Invaders for a buck?? You guys either have Much better stores or are lucky as hell! We have a new bigger Goodwill location right near a WalMart and I've checked it about 5 or 6 times ...Never found anything close to being good...
  10. I'll give ya 2 bucks for it right now! Come'on! Double your money!
  11. In all honesty, there's nothing wrong with being a "lifestyle" brand...Worked wonders for Harley Davidson. But you have to have cool things at the right price. For example, a speaker hat that costs $40 and comes in light or dark gray, maybe with black or dark blue embroidery,...Or a black with silver color scheme, not mentally challenged blue at a sky high price tag! And, Needless to say they shouldn't get bogged down in pointless lawsuits, especially when they could have made a deal to show a licensed Break Out made of Kit Kats or whatever... And you know, if Atari had licensed even half of the Atari Logo t-Shirts for sale on ebay right now, They'd probably have enough bread, they wouldn't need to have a Kickstarter campaign to release a console!
  12. I think they should come out with a propeller hat that powers a speakerhat! And maybe throw in some carbon fiber, solar-powered, photovoltec racing stripes for extra Green Power! That's the kind of Transmedia Lifestyle Brand I'm down with!
  13. Also sometimes it's just easier to use a card that works! I've got a couple of Sandisks that work like champs. But I also have a couple of Kingstons that would not work. Like people say, at least they're cheap. The Kingstons Do work in my MP3 players so I use them there.
  14. And Midnight Magic is one of my Favorite Atari games Ever!! Many late nights/early mornings spent playing that one!
  15. Sounds like an incredibly fun idea to me! Good luck with it!
  16. The Orville is on Tonght!! Wooooooo! Anyone else stoked?

  17. Probably exactly what I'd have done.
  18. Damn Nanochess! That sucks! If it were me, before going off half cocked and just leaving negative feedback, I'd contact the seller. I'd say I expected the game and box to be shipped in a box, not wrapped in bubble wrap and tape, which almost guarantees the box will be crushed... Obviously everything else would have to come into play, like the description, and the price. And whether or not you want and expect a refund, or if you might want to keep the game at a discounted price (or partial refund, etc.).. Anyway good luck to you! I've had stuff happen like that too, but not too often, all things considered. EDIT** I didn't realize that was the instructions in the pic. I looked quickly and assumed it was the box.
  19. And it looks like the new one also has the shoulder buttons.
  20. I remember that! It ain't a hat if it ain't a Shat! Quick anecdote. My friend went to Iowa after they filmed that, and he met the guy who drove Shatner around...And remember the hilarious scene where Shatner was listening to a CD, of his own voice as a motivational tool? He was repeating mantras and talking about smiting his enemies and so on? I guess he left that CD in the guy's car. It'd be pretty funny to have that as a souvenir.
  21. At this point they're doing it to themselves, but... My how the Mighty have Fallen...
  22. Just something that always brings a smile to my face...And hey it beats getting Rick Rolled!
