I like it! I recommend it, but, TBH I haven't played it much...I think it's one of those things where if you liked the description, then you'll probably like the game. I like the excitement of firing up a game for the first time with no expectations, but some people watch videos and read reviews (which I do too sometimes, if I'm bored), but I rarely put that much thought into it...Or maybe I don't like to know all about a game before I get it...Discovering it is half the fun...I think I was probably destined to like it given it's based off of Adventure
-
This might be a dumb question, but did you make sure to have the "player button" selected correctly? If not that, I'd say try a different joystick, but it looks like you already have..,.

It also seems like a lot of people have a history with that game so are probably looking to buy it, if they don't have it. Myself, That was a game I never had BITD, but 3 friends had it and I played it (Loved it) ...Then around the late 80's or early 90's, I got it loose at a garage sale for 50 cents...Then I loaned it to my old locker partner from Junior High of all things, who I ran into once in 15 years, and I never saw it or him again haha... FWIW, I just now looked at a box of games a friend gave me and sure enough I have it again!...Also I Do have that hack called Adventure Plus from the AA Store...

I'm going to guess that a whole lot of you have Harmony Carts, and therefore have a bunch of homebrew ROMs (bins) already on your computer...I really need to get one of those someday. Anyway I was wondering if there is a place where there are a whole bunch of homebrew ROMs? ... So far I've had to search AtariAge...But I was wondering if there is an easier way? Or if they're all in one spot somewhere? Thanks in advance!

Atari Flashback Portable!
GoldLeader replied to Byron's Reviews's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
I don't know if anyone's said it yet, but just by decreasing the volume a little bit, mine sounds pretty good! I can still hear everything just fine (Which is pretty good with my less than great hearing and oft-ringing ears)...Try the volume about halfway up. -
Thanks for this! I just played it on my Atari FB Portable... It is pretty awesome! I don't mind the flashing that much, but admittedly this one's easier on the eyes. It would have been cool if this was a hidden menu option BITD. Or even a Selectable version. If I had programmed that game I would have made only special enemies cause a screen flash...

2016 Flashback speculation thread

Even if Konami were to say, come out with a Plug and Play that had Tons of BOMBERMAN games on it from NES/SNES/Turbografx...and have 2 controllers, but the ability to add 2 more (sold separately of course)...I bet it would sell like Gangbusters! Gangbusters I tell ya! -

Funny, I Always think of Turbografx as Huge! But I mean that in the "Punk Rock" way of saying something is "Huge"..Like BITD we used to describe smaller bands that had huge followings, Quite different than Major Label bands......As in it's Huge in small circles...Those which I happen to frequent, I guess...It has a huge Underground cult following... And Yeah, Whereas SEGA was a big star here in the States, in Japan it was all about PC Engine versus Famicom... With proper marketing I'm sure a Turbografx or PC Engine Plug and Play would be Awesome! At least to some of us in the underground circles of Retro happy goodness and Funtimes... -

Why I got back into collecting ColecoVision...
GoldLeader replied to TPR's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
FWIW, My friend (Who got his a month early) had controllers that were like earlier versions or something...There was no rotary knob or anything though; They were just ever so slightly different in that they had no ridges on the side of the buttons,...The sides of his buttons were smooth... -

So Everybody... I just had a weird thought ...A random event popping into my head for but a brief second. Like one of those strange falling out of bed on your way to get coffee thoughts that usually disappear into the ether or that maybe you don't want to post because they make no sense...but then every once in a while you do anyway... So Imagine today you are given a choice... Buy an Atari Flashback Portable or Hit yourself in the head with a hammer I do hope everyone makes the right choice! Thanks for putting up with me LOL! -

Avoid the Retro-Bit Generations plug-and-play console
GoldLeader replied to goldenegg's topic in Dedicated Systems
That might be one of the best reviews I've ever seen! Not the whole thing though, If I'm being honest I didn't read it, ...Not because my attention span is truly smaller than a goldfish today, but because I'm busy and shouldn't even be using this time to post this comment...But those final (I'm assuming) 3 sentences....That sums a up a lot in a concise way. And I've felt that way before too. I generally get far more surrealistic or post modern on explaining my viewpoint and probably lose people unaccustomed to subtlety or middle ground... Good Job Tiny Cartridge! (And Good Job Flojomojo for quoting Tiny Cartridge!) Also Good Job to those still reading tiny fine print at the bottom that is crossed out and half sized and God knows what else...You rock at life and found the Easter egg in my post, go get yourself a cold one...You've earned it! ____________> ---> +1 -
Why I got back into collecting ColecoVision...
GoldLeader replied to TPR's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
That does look fantastic! I remember I let my mom talk me into throwing out my Coleco box and it was pretty much perfect shape too (*kicking self*).. When I got my ColecoVision, I'd ordered it through the mail (which took probably 6-8 weeks or whatever things took back then), and I began calling the company to make sure they sent it...My friend ordered his from the same company (Maxaron Home Entertainment) and got it almost a month early; I got mine 2 days after they'd arrived in stores (late August '82 I'm thinking)...But when I finally got it I was in a state of disbelief, because they'd just kept telling me to check for it each day ...Finally saying, "OK It should be there tomorrow..." And that day I raced home from Junior high school and saw that box right on my porch! They just sent that box (no outer box), and set it right on the porch! My brother joked that I should claim we never got it and get him one... -
Always an absolute pleasure doing business with people like Jin. I sold him some 7800 games and he paid right away...Perfect!

FWIW, I just looked carefully at the games list on my pre-production versus production model. Pre-production has: Frontline Jungle Hunt Polaris Space Invaders (Arcade) Does Not have: Desert Falcon Dodge'em Slot Machine Super Breakout I just thought this was interesting... -
