  1. There's one I hadn't thought of, But Elevator Action would be cool! I actually used to own the coin op of it...I say used to because I put it in this apartment building I lived in when I was in college. It was on the first floor by some vending machines (this was in the mid 90's)...And one day I went down there and it was just gone!
  2. I kept hearing December...From a few people at the stores. But I have no idea if that was speculation, or if someone actually knew something. I could understand the initial shortages to generate buzz, but if Nintendo doesn't capitalize on their momentum, then that's just bad business sense...
  3. Thanks so much for this Flojomojo! And everyone else! I haven't always had the best of luck with ROMs...I've even had a computer in the past filled with corrupt files, so stuff that should work didn't, but I digress... I actually half expected it not to work...because I've had bad luck in the past I guess... But with help from this thread, adding ROMs was easy as pie in July...And worked like a dream! Cheers!
  4. I see Jin has relisted it. And honestly, it is Very worth that price! (starting @ $150). I would have made one very similar if I didn't already have a HORI Real Arcade Pro...I prefer a ball top joystick like old arcade games and I like arcade buttons...But what you guys have done more closely mimics an Atari joystick, but with arcade parts,...Respect! And he has a bid!
  5. And the NES Classic says, "Where'd those other guys go? I thought they were just here...It's almost like they were just a dream!" ...Oh definitely harder than it looks! We appreciate it Nathan! Personally I wish you were like a Sunday comic strip in full color...in a Newspaper...yeah what's that? haha...
  6. What's funny to me as I searched early on for one of these was that the kids working at Wal-Mart and Gamestop really didn't seem to know what I was talking about...but they nodded and were nice as if to say "We'll probably get some in later..". I really don't remember their exact words. The guy at Bed, Bath & Beyond, however, knew exactly what I was talking about. He called it by name and then said, 'We don't have them in YET,...But we will get lots of them in!"
  7. Yeah part of what I really liked about Pulsar was the sinister sounds going on, If it wasn't the scary sound FX of the maze moving around, there was that creepy heartbeat sound underneath it all...I could honestly picture it as a soundtrack to a horror/sci-fi movie... As if the spooky sounds of Pulsar aren't bad enough, now Kosmic Stardust is reading my mind again...
  8. I'm picturing it smelling like Apple pie...Or Raspberry Pi for computer fans...
  9. It's the kind of store that looks like soap, but smells like candles...
  10. ^ I think you nailed it! Maybe add pillows, shower curtains, and bath salts...LOL It's actually kind of a neat place...
  11. Pretty sure Bed, Bath & Beyond will have them too. I mention them because when I was looking in stores, (before I realized they were delayed)...They seemed to be the only one who knew, for sure, what I was talking about.
  12. Real quick...As I'm on my way out the door... Got mine! WoooHoo! Got Space Invaders (arcade) and Jungle Hunt plus Space Invaders pictured on the box! Must be Pre-Production!! Very happy!!!! :)
  13. And you don't get OEM reaction times if you're emulating...
  14. I don't know about the actual stores, as I said we don't have any...But that link works to buy online if anyone is interested. Shipping (for me anyway) was about $7...So it'd be $35 if someone is looking...
  15. Oh, I'm definitely looking forward to the Portable! Mine still hasn't shown up yet... But I'm thinking tomorrow maybe We had 63 degree weather today, but Thursday when the Portable was supposed to be delivered (according to the tracking number), we had a snowstorm that shut down 2 Interstates...
  16. Hey all, I just got an email from Dollar General and from 11-20 to 11-23...Atari Flashback 7 is on sale $28 and available online. We don't have Dollar General around here, just Family Dollar and Dollar Tree (Which wouldn't count unless something sells for $1 haha)...But I think I bought my Coleco FB from them and ended up on their mailing list...I'm trying to save every penny right now, but even I'm pretty tempted at $28....Maybe I'll throw one on the old credit card. http://www.dollargeneral.com/on-sale/4-day-sale-11-20-11-23.html?WT.tsrc=email&WT.mc_id=DefaultCampaign&WT.z_campdate=11202016
  17. Probably not their initial intent...But at this point I'm sure they'll take what they can get.
  18. Usually I don't let reviews change my opinion very much...When it comes to games, for instance, my tastes vary wildly, especially compared to the average reviewer who may not appreciate the effort or originality of certain games... BUT, that said I gotta be honest...After reading things like this (found this in a different thread and can't remember if it's been here or not): http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/11/hardware_review_retro-bit_generations My enthusiasm has waned on this...Many times over I seem to hear that the emulation is off, the speed, the sound, frame rates, and so forth...And I Know that it's possible to do this better,...Not so much from experience (as my emu experience is limited, not non-existent but limited). So I figure if even a bonehead like me knows this can be done better, the Retro-Bit guys should know better and they shouldn't have been so sloppy here. I even like their Retro-Duo, despite it also having a host of little problems it shouldn't have... I need to save my money anyway, but they weren't supposed to make it easy on me! Maybe 3-5 years from now I'll find a Retro-Bit Generations floating atop a pile of black plastic items, sticky A/V cables, Genesis sports games, and broken Gamecube controllers in a lonely pawn shop somewhere. It'll be next to that Corvette shaped VHS tape rewinder...And I'll offer them $5, Cash! American, for it...And they'll be tired of looking at it and say, "Take it before we change our minds..."
  19. Somehow I'm reminded of me with my chemistry set...Back in the day I mean. Or perhaps closer would be my lab partner in Electronics class in high school...He grabbed this little tiny light bulb, barely bigger than a pin head and pulled the wires leading off of it apart so he could very quickly jam it into the wall outlet, where it promptly exploded and took power out for our wing of the school! The teacher of our class ran to reset the breaker, then came back, headed right for us and much yelling ensued...I probably didn't help as I mockingly repeated what the teacher was saying demanding to know what he did...LOL
  20. So Kosmic (or anyone else who has one and wants to answer), If you've tried it, do the HDMI and A/V outputs BOTH work at the same time? I guess specifically what I'd like to know is can I hook this up to a stereo (using audio from A/V) and use HDMI for the video on a modern TV?
  21. I certainly wouldn't complain about HDMI outputs in the future, but you know what's better? HDMI AND composite out....Then it's easy to take around the house and just plug into almost any screen on a whim...
