I’ve been reading the comments on the IGG page and there are some seriously fragile people over there. This place is toxic? Huh, news to me.

REAL Activision Repro Patches - High Score Rewards?
Phantom_of_Krankor replied to retrogoober's topic in Atari 2600
Count me in on either a reproduction or homebrew patch. I like the idea! -
The 2600 has always had a special place for me. I never had one as a kid but some of my parent's friends did and when we visited, I was plopped down at the Atari 2600. For me this system oozes in nostalgia, but there is something to be said for sticking a cartridge in, turn the power on and go. No loading, no updates, etc. It was just fun, which is what gaming is supposed to be about.

"We'll get something out to you, don't you worry about that! It may be everything you hoped for and more, or it's going to be a huge disappointment. Doesn't matter to us, you already paid for it."

It's got the sweetness of the peanut butter and the salty crunch of the pickles. It's a strange combo for sure, but its not a bad.

As someone who likes peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches, Id try these.

Atari 2600 woodgrain hoodie is pretty awesome.
Phantom_of_Krankor replied to sloth-machine's topic in Atari 2600
I spent the last week and a half in the UK and it didn’t rain once, it was barely even cloudy. I was quite confused by it. -
You’ve got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em. Know when to walk away, know when to run.

No cartridges, internet connection required!!

I'm getting my tent and sleeping bag ready right now. I'm gonna camp out at the local Circuit City so I can be one of the first to have the "Google 1984".

"It'll be some kind of listening device, with a couple cameras in it. We're gonna sell it as a streaming/gaming/whatever device, but what were really doing is gathering as much data as possible on people to turn around and sell to whomever has the cash. It's so easy, and these idiots will welcome it into their homes with open arms." - Google

Not my Atari VCS (that console formerly known as Ataribox)
Phantom_of_Krankor replied to Tidus79001's topic in Atari 2600
Given what they want the unit to be, Ataribox just makes more sense.
